20110220326ENERGY RECOVERY UNIT - Aspects relate to an energy recovery unit comprising a vessel having a condensate inlet and a condensate outlet and a fluid feed line defining a fluid path. First and second heat exchangers are located within the vessel and are arranged to transfer heat from flash vapor and condensate respectively, to fluid in the fluid feed line. The energy recovery unit can be used to recover waste energy from condensate and flash steam and use it to pre-heat process water, such as boiler feed water.09-15-2011

20080301071Support Vector Inductive Logic Programming - A computer implemented method of particular, although not exclusive application to analysing a plurality of molecules which comprises computing a kernel function for each pair of the plurality of molecules, the kernel function being representative of the number of features present in both molecules of the pairs and using the kernel function in a kernel based learning algorithm to model the relationship between the features and a property of the molecules. The method is also applicable to predicting a numerical value representing a characteristic of a molecule and, more generally, modelling instances of data in a database. A particular, although again not exclusive application, is the prediction of toxicity of a molecule.12-04-2008

20110098999TEXT CATEGORIZATION BASED ON CO-CLASSIFICATION LEARNING FROM MULTILINGUAL CORPORA - The present document describes a method and a system for generating classifiers from multilingual corpora including subsets of content-equivalent documents written in different languages. When the documents are translations of each other, their classifications must be substantially the same. Embodiments of the invention utilize this similarity in order to enhance the accuracy of the classification in one language based on the classification results in the other language, and vice versa. A system in accordance with the present embodiments implements a method which comprises generating a first classifier from a first subset of the corpora in a first language; generating a second classifier from a second subset of the corpora in a second language; and re-training each of the classifiers on its respective subset based on the classification results of the other classifier, until a training cost between the classification results produced by subsequent iterations reaches a local minima.04-28-2011

20100076740SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WELL TEST DESIGN AND INTERPRETATION - A method and system for well test design and interpretation, comprising a testing manager system, which includes at least one of testing hardware and gauge metrology; a geological model coupled to the testing manager system; a dynamic and static engineering data acquisition system coupled to the geological model; and a reservoir modeling system coupled to the dynamic and static engineering data acquisition system to generate a reservoir model. Also provided is a method and computer program for controlling, driving, and enabling the devices, systems, and subsystems presented herein through interaction with a human user, or the like.03-25-2010
20110191029SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR WELL TEST DESIGN, INTERPRETATION AND TEST OBJECTIVES VERIFICATION - A method and system for well test optimization provides test parameters and variation range therefor, independently from preliminarily reservoir and downhole fluid data; and repeatedly executes the test for each parameter to obtain real-time measured data, and interpreted data that is compared to the variation range for meeting a test objective. A method and system for well test design and interpretation, includes a testing manager having testing hardware/gauge metrology; a geological model; dynamic/static engineering data acquisition; and a reservoir model generator. A method and system for well test design and interpretation generates a test plan and an initial reservoir model and data from real/near-real-time, surface/downhole/manual data, aggregated data based on quality control/assurance, and optimization data based thereon and simulated downhole data; models/interprets the optimization data to meet test objectives for terminating/continuing the test plan; modifies the optimization; and/or generates reports from the modeling/interpretation when terminating the test plan.08-04-2011
