| 20090074460 | ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTOSENSITIVE MEMBER, PROCESS CARTRIDGE, AND ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC APPARATUS - An electrophotographic photosensitive member is provide which inhibits recovered toner from leaking out of the edge portion at the time of long-term use, and has good durability. Each of at least both edge portions of the surface layer of the electrophotographic photosensitive member has a region in which independent depressed portions are formed at a density of ten or more portions per 100 μm square. An average depth Rdv-A, an average short axis diameter Lpc-A, and an average long axis diameter Rpc-A, of the depressed portions are respectively in specific ranges. When an angle formed between the circumferential direction of the electrophotographic photosensitive member and the long axis of each of the depressed portions is represented by θ, the depressed portions are formed so that the angle θ satisfies the relationship of 90°<θ<180° toward the center of the electrophotographic photosensitive member. | 03-19-2009 |

| 20080210033 | SHIFT CONTROL SYSTEM, SHIFT CONTROL METHOD, AND SHIFT SWITCHING DEVICE - A shift control system rotates an actuator to cause a wall of a detent plate to contact a roller of a detent spring, and detects the position of contact so as to detect the position of the wall of the detent plate. This wall position is set as a reference position of the actuator. Accordingly, the rotation of the actuator can appropriately be controlled even if an encoder which can only detect relative positional information is employed, and thus the shift range can appropriately be switched. | 09-04-2008 |
| 20090024262 | Hybrid Vehicle and Control Method Thereof - A hybrid vehicle is provided with means for setting a four-wheel drive condition which is a condition for switching from two-wheel drive to four-wheel drive, and an EV switch which, when turned on by an occupant of the vehicle, places the vehicle in an EV driving mode in which only an electric motor is used as the power source. The four-wheel drive condition setting means changes the four-wheel drive condition to reduce a region in which the vehicle operates in four-wheel drive when the EV switch is on as compared to when the EV switch is off. As a result, the vehicle operates in two-wheel drive more frequently, thus reducing power consumption. | 01-22-2009 |
