| 20110053128 | Automated patient monitoring and counseling system - An automated, computerized system for vicariously and remotely monitoring the conditions of a patient, providing professional counseling, and coaching the patient into sound behavior and health-enhancing activities. A computerized central installation receives, over a public communication network, patient's vital sign measurements such as blood pressure, glucose level, and pulse rate. The measurements are gathered at the patient's residence by a battery of instrumental monitoring devices, polled by the central installation at scheduled intervals, automatically checked by a central processing unit against preset limits and analyzed to generate diagnostics and assessments of patient's condition and are stored in libraries. The diagnostics and assessments are used to selectively retrieve from a data bank of prerecorded messages, feedback advice, past performance charts and motivating audiovisual programs stored in libraries. If warranted, health professionals are alerted so that they can intervene and contact the patient directly. The communications between the central installation and the patient are scripted by a computer program routine to mimic a natural telephone conversation. | 03-03-2011 |

| 20110044418 | LONG LIFE HIGH EFFICIENCY NEUTRON GENERATOR - The design of a compact, high-efficiency, high-flux capable compact-accelerator fusion neutron generator (FNG) is discussed. FNG's can be used in a variety of industrial analysis applications to replace the use of radioisotopes which pose higher risks to both the end user and national security. High efficiency, long lifetime, and high power-handling capability are achieved though innovative target materials and ion source technology. The device can be scaled up for neutron radiography applications, or down for borehole analysis or other compact applications. Advanced technologies such as custom neutron output energy spectrum, pulsing, and associated particle imaging can be incorporated. | 02-24-2011 |
| 20110091000 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR IN SITU DEPOSITON AND REGENERATION OF HIGH EFFICIENCY TARGET MATERIALS FOR LONG LIFE NUCLEAR REACTION DEVICES - Aspects of the invention relate to several methods to deposit and regenerate target materials in neutron generators and similar nuclear reaction devices. In situ deposition and regeneration of a target material reduces tube degradation of the nuclear reaction device and covers impurities on the surface of the target material at the target location. Further aspects of the invention include a method of designing a target to generate neutrons at a high efficiency rate and at a selected neutron energy from a neutron energy spectrum. | 04-21-2011 |

| 20080217029 | Airplane fire fighting thermal barrier and terror threat solution - A thermal barrier that allows a crew member or passenger to cover an item that is on fire inside an airplane (or other transport vehicle) cabin and carry it to a controlled area, such as a lavatory, where it can burn out, and the gaseous products of combustion (vapors) are exited outside of the aircraft (or other transport vehicle), providing time for the pilot/engineer/operator to make a safe decision concerning continuance of the flight or passage. If not put into a controlled area, item fire may produce poisonous and/or irritating gases that if not removed will recirculate throughout the entire cabin harming all the occupants. Burning item may cause structural damage to the aircraft (or other transport vehicle) creating an unsafe flight or passage. | 09-11-2008 |
