20090316743LASER DIODE DRIVER WITH ADAPTIVE COMPLIANCE VOLTAGE - A laser diode driver with means for adjusting the compliance voltage to allow a current source to accurately reproduce a current command while simultaneously minimizing the power dissipation of the current source. For a slowly-varying or DC current command, the compliance voltage is continuously adjusted to limit the power dissipation of the current source to below a predetermined minimum. For a pulsed current waveform, the compliance voltage is maximized during periods of zero or low current demand so that sufficient energy is stored to faithfully reproduce the leading edge of a pulsed current command, and reduced during the plateau portion of a pulsed current command to minimize the power dissipation of the current source.12-24-2009

20100099166Compositions and Methods for Enhancing Plant Growth by Chemical Oxygenation of Soils - Chemical combinations known to be used for odor control are provisioned for enhancing growth of a plant. The chemical combinations preferably include a stable, aqueous solution of a surfactant and a chemical source of oxygen. There are numerous ways by which one could learn that such combinations have utility in odor control. In preferred methods a manufacturer, distributor, retailer, farmer or other entity is informed of such through reading a journal article or other publication, or by a receiving a letter, fax, or email. The combinations can be used to reduce consumption of irrigation water and to increase a crop yield, each by at least 5-25%, as a consequence of applying the solution to a soil.04-22-2010
