20090014742PATTERNED LIGHT EMITTING DEVICES - Light-emitting devices, and related components, systems and methods are disclosed. A light-emitting device can include a multi-layer stack of materials that includes a light-generating region and a first layer supported by the light-generating region. During use of the light-emitting device, light generated by the light-generating region can emerge from the light-emitting device via a surface of the first layer. The surface of the first layer can have a dielectric function that varies spatially as a pattern and at least about 45% of a total amount of light generated by the light-generating region can emerge from the light-emitting device emerges via the surface of the light-emitting device.01-15-2009
20090035885METHODS OF FORMING LIGHT-EMITTING STRUCTURES - Methods of forming light-emitting structures, as well as related devices and/or systems are described. In some cases, the methods utilize a layer transfer and/or layer separation step(s) used to form such structures.02-05-2009

20080306240Process for Amination of Acrylic Macromonomers and Products Therefrom - Processes for forming adducts of amines with acrylic macromonomers are provided. Also provided are processes for using ring-closing reactions of the adducts to form lactams. The adducts are useful, for example, for making adhesives, surfactants, viscosity modifiers, processing aids, and other products.12-11-2008
20090011133Orthoformate-protected polyols - Disclosed herein are coating compositions comprising a blocked polyol having a first hydroxyl group at position 1 carbon atom and a second hydroxyl group at position 2 or 3 carbon atom, wherein both the first and the second hydroxyl groups are blocked by a single hydrolyzable orthoformate group; and a polyisocyanate compound. Methods of producing and using said coating compositions are also disclosed.01-08-2009
20090012231PIGMENT DISPERSIONS CONTAINING AMINATED ACRYLIC MACROMONOMER DISPERSANT - A pigment dispersion useful for forming coating compositions containing dispersed pigment, a carrier solvent and an aminated macromonomer dispersant (binder) is disclosed. The aminated macromonomer dispersant is preferably prepared by the reaction of terminally unsaturated macromonomers synthesized by cobalt-catalyzed chain transfer free radical polymerizations of methacrylic monomers with monomeric or oligomeric amines.01-08-2009
20090165676BIS(N-SILYLALKYL)ASPARTIMIDES AND PROCESSES THEREFOR - Compositions of bis(N-silylalkyl)aspartimides and processes for their synthesis are provided. The compounds are useful, for example, for making primers, adhesives, surfactants, viscosity modifiers, processing aids, and other products. Compositions of bis(N-silylalkyl)aspartamide urethane isocyanates and processes for their synthesis are provided. The compositions are useful, for example, for making primers, adhesives, surfactants, viscosity modifiers, processing aids, and other products.07-02-2009
20100160582CATALYSTS FOR CATALYTIC CHAIN TRANSFER - Cobaloxime derivatives and methods of producing cobaloxime derivatives are disclosed herein. Methods of producing decolorized homo- and co-polymers through polymerization of monomers in presence of the cobaloxime derivatives and decolorization of the produced polymer by exposing the polymer to a sorbent and, optionally, a solvent are also disclosed herein.06-24-2010

20100202950Method of Preparing Heterogeneous Catalysts - Efficient heterogeneous catalysts were prepared by derivatization and palladation of commercially available chloromethylated polystyrene, and derivatization and palladation of functionalized silica gels with benzylchloride pendant groups. Both polymer based and silica based heterogeneous catalysts exhibited catalytic activity. Catalytic activity was studied using methanolysis of commercially available P═S pesticides. Catalytic activity of catalysts immobilized on silica gel was greater than catalyst immobilized on polymer.08-12-2010

20100073837USB PORT OVERVOLTAGE PROTECTION - A system and method for efficient input/output (I/O) port overvoltage protection of a high-speed port. An interfacing system for connecting peripheral devices to a computing system comprises ports for conveying serial communications bidirectional signals and an overvoltage protection circuit. The protection circuit prevents an overvoltage condition on one port in response to an overvoltage event on a corresponding second port. In one embodiment, the interfacing system connects USB peripheral devices to an automotive infotainment system comprising an automotive battery potiential greater than a USB power supply. In addition, the overvoltage protection circuit is able to transmit signals between the two ports without signal attenuation defined by an industry standard specification such as Universal Serial Bus (USB) Implementers Forum (IF) eye pattern diagram test. The overvoltage protection circuit is configured to have a small footprint, and, therefore, does not utilize a power reference and comparator circuit.03-25-2010
