20100123304TELESCOPING ADJUSTABLE POLE - An adjustable ski pole having a clamping mechanism for locking the pole in a desirable position. An outer shaft telescopically receives an inner shaft which is engaged by a clamping mechanism. The clamping mechanism includes a housing having a first portion attached to the outer shaft and a split portion defining a longitudinal gap. A circumferential slot separates the split portion from the first portion along about half the circumference. The split portion has a first lug on one side of the gap and a second lug on the other side. A lever is pivotably connected to the first lug. A link is pivotably connected to the lever to define an off-center linkage. A pivot rod engages the second lug, and a threaded connector adjustably connects the link to the rod. When the lever is pivoted from the release position to the clamping position, the gap width is reduced.05-20-2010

20090314087ULTRASONIC TESTING OF FITTING ASSEMBLY - Apparatus and method for determining relative and/or absolute axial position of a conduit end within a fluid coupling includes application of input ultrasonic energy in the form of transient shear waves and analyzing the reflected energy. Application of the input energy collected at different radial positions about a first axial location is used with wavelet based correlation techniques to better analyze the reflected energy signals. Quality of the abutment between the conduit end and a surface associated with the coupling may also be determined as a separate or combined feature of the axial position determination.12-24-2009

20090005748Interactive Garment Printing for Enhanced Functionality of Absorbent Articles - An absorbent article may include one or more circuits formed on the exterior of the article that are configured to connect to a monitoring device. When connected to a monitoring device, the circuit(s) can be used to provide input data to the monitoring device. The monitoring device may provide audio, visual, and other feedback that changes based on user input data. In some embodiments, the monitoring device can further connect to one or more circuits internal to the article to sense changes in the state of the article. For example, interactive features supported by the monitoring device may relate to the wetness state of the article and/or may be used to control the type of indication(s) provided by the monitoring device when wetness (or another state) is detected. In some embodiments, the monitoring device can be used to provide interactive games for the user of the article. In some embodiments, the monitoring device can be configured to provide feedback triggered by a caregiver, such as potty training reinforcement messages.01-01-2009

20080269702Wetness device lock and key and device ID - The present subject matter relates to absorbent articles and signaling devices for use therewith. An absorbent article may be provided with selected electrical components used as wetness or other type sensors and may also incorporate one or more electrical components, characteristics of which may be determined by a coupled signaling device. An attached signaling device may automatically determine a product identification based on characteristics of the electrical components detected and adjust operating characteristics or parameters for the sensing device. Determinations could be made based on gender, age and approximate weight of the user of the absorbent device. In addition automatic checks can be made to determine mutual operability of the signaling device with an associated absorbent article or visa-versa.10-30-2008
