| 20080212933 | Multi-Zonal Video Editing System - The invention provides a network-based video editing system, in which video clips are made available on demand to servers located in a plurality of spatially separated zones linked only via the network. In order to ensure that cautionary or advisory information contained in signs or signals (“tags”) associated with certain video material is retained during transfer between servers in different zones, the invention provides that new tags associated with video material in any zone are broadcast generally to all other zones. Only tags associated with video information currently stored in any zone are retained in that zone, but all tags associated with information copied from a first zone to a second zone are supplied to the second zone. In a preferred system, the video material is time-stamped to permit conflicts in the content of multiple tags relating to the same video material to be resolved by making the most recent prevail. The invention also provides a method for operating such a system. | 09-04-2008 |

| 20090115638 | Vehicle Positioning System Using Location Codes in Passive Tags - Vehicles driving on a roadway interrogate passive tags in or on lanes of the roadway. Codes in the tags represent locations along the highway and which lane the vehicle is traveling in. Units in the vehicles communicate longitudinal and lane positions derived from the codes among each other or with infrastructure units for purposes such as traffic management, alerts concerning other vehicles, alerts concerning external conditions, or traffic control. The units may also communicate vehicle lengths or other parameters or characteristics. Vehicle units may communicate with sensors and actuators in the vehicles for purposes such as updating the vehicles' positions between adjacent tags. | 20090013256 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR AUTOMATICALLY ESTABLISHING BI-DIRECTIONAL LINE-SWITCHED RINGS IN TELECOMMUNICATION NETWORKS - A method of automatically provisioning a network-wide function using a plurality of network elements in a service provider network and using a sub-network level approach is provided. In one specific approach, a software wizard facilitates provisioning a bi-directional line switched ring (BLSR). First user input, specifying a plurality of ring attribute values that define attributes of a bi-directional line switched ring, is received. Second user input, specifying one or more working spans for the bi-directional line switched ring, is received. Each of the network elements is automatically configured to participate in the bi-directional line switched ring based on the parameter values. Embodiments may provide a software wizard for implementing the foregoing process. In certain features, spans for a BLSR are automatically selected based on a selection of a first candidate span; only selected nodes and spans that are capable of participating in a BLSR are displayed; and port orientation for all spans in a BLSR is automatically determined based on user input defining port orientation for a first port of a first span. | 01-08-2009 |

| 20080279741 | Reactor system for reducing NOx emissions from boilers - A zeolite based SCR catalyst for NOx reduction using a reducing agent for treating exhaust streams from industrial and commercial boilers is provided. The reactor system has a zeolite based catalyst arranged in catalyst cassettes in a modular fashion where the reactor containing the zeolite based SCR catalyst cassettes is placed in a perpendicular direction to the exhaust exiting the industrial and/or commercial boiler. The catalyst selectively reduces nitrogen oxides to nitrogen with a reducing agent at low to medium temperatures. The reactor results in high NOx conversions and very low ammonia slip and is active for a wide range of boiler firing conditions. Boilers with low NOx and/or ultra low NOx burners can be replaced with a standard conventional burner for overall emissions reduction performance, efficiency improvements and energy savings. Boilers with low NOx and ultra low NOx burners can also be fitted with this zeolite based SCR catalyst reactor for additional NOx reductions and energy savings. | 11-13-2008 |
