20110072018HIERARCHICAL ADMINISTRATION OF RESOURCES - A method and system for administering assets in a hierarchical manner is provided. A plurality of assets (e.g., computing resources, servers) are provided. A system administrator can create asset groups and administrative groups. One or more assets can be assigned to an asset group. One or more asset groups can be assigned to an administrative group. Accordingly, a user that is assigned to an administrative group has the capability to manage the assets assigned to the user's administrative group.03-24-2011

20110107229SELF-MANAGEMENT OF LOCAL RESOURCES ALLOCATED REMOTELY - Systems, methods, and other embodiments associated with persisting information concerning per-user, per-connection display configuration control are described. One example method includes identifying services that provide outputs to be displayed to an identified user on displays available to the identified user. Services are provided by remotely located computers. The example method may also include establishing a display control parameter based on a stored mapping that persistently relates services, outputs, displays, and users. The mapping stores information concerning the parameter as configured by the identified user during a previous session. The example method may also include controlling the display of the output on the display based on the parameter.05-05-2011

20110287367METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR VERIFYING STITCHING ACCURACY OF STITCHED CHIPS ON A WAFER - A method for verifying stitching accuracy of a stitched chip on a wafer is disclosed. Initially, a set of test structures are inserted within a reticle layout. An exposure program is executed to control a photolithography equipment having a stepper to perform multiple exposures of the reticle on a wafer to generate a stitched chip on the wafer. Electrical measurements are then performed on the test structures at actual stitch boundaries of the stitched chip to evaluate stitching accuracy of the stitched chip.11-24-2011

20120029977Self-Extending Monitoring Models that Learn Based on Arrival of New Data - Mechanisms are provided for monitoring a process of a data processing system. With these mechanisms, a notification of an event comprising information regarding the event, and a process running in the data processing system that generated the event, is generated. It is determined whether one or more key performance indicators (KPIs) have been defined for an element corresponding to the process, in a model of the data processing system. In response to one or more KPIs not having been defined for an element in the model corresponding to the process, new KPI definitions are generated for the element in the model corresponding to the process based on specified default KPIs. The new KPI definitions constitute an extension of the model of the data processing system to thereby generate an extended model of the data processing system. The extended model is then used to monitor an operation of the data processing system.02-02-2012

20080263093GENERATION OF A SET OF PRE-FILTERS FROM A SET OF EVENT SUBSCRIPTIONS TO MORE EFFICIENTLY SELECT EVENTS OF INTEREST - A method, system and computer program product for achieving a balance between pre-filter efficiency and pre-filter throughput. Event subscriptions are obtained for a given event consumer. The event subscriptions define the events to be routed to this event consumer. Pre-filters of varying complexity and filtering power are constructed based on these event subscriptions. A balance between pre-filter efficiency and pre-filter throughput may be achieved by selecting the best pre-filter out of these constructed pre-filters to filter events to its associated event consumer. The best pre-filter is selected by comparing a complexity threshold (e.g., a limit for the number of atomic Boolean expressions in a pre-filter) with the actual complexity (e.g., the actual number of atomic Boolean expressions) for each constructed pre-filter and selecting the most complex pre-filter without exceeding the threshold.10-23-2008
20080288508Accessing a non-relational store with a container-managed persistence bean via a web service function - An apparatus, system, and storage medium that in an embodiment receive a key parameter from a container-managed persistent bean, determine that the container-managed persistent bean is associated with a non-relational data store, creating a web service input message with the key parameter, and invoke a web service function with the web service input message to interface with a non-relational data store. The determination that the container-managed persistent bean is associated with a non-relational data store may be based on deployment description extension settings specified by a bean assembler. In this way, a container-managed persistent bean may be used to access a non-relational data store.11-20-2008

20110320179PROCESS MONITORING - A method for process monitoring may include generating a monitoring-level process model. The monitoring-level process model may be a monitoring-level view of a process and being associated with an implementation-level process model. The implementation-level process model may include a series of implementation-level steps to perform the process. A selection of a monitoring-level step in the monitoring-level process model and a selection of at least one implementation-level step in the implementation-level process model may be received. The implementation-level step(s) may be mapped to the corresponding monitoring-level step(s).12-29-2011

20090018986Systems and methods for integrating educational software systems - Systems and methods are provided for integrating educational software. In one implementation, a first server receives an identifier of a second server that provides at least one source educational course. A second server receives metadata for the at least one source educational course and stores the metadata.01-15-2009
20090317786INTERNET-BASED EDUCATION SUPPORT SYSTEM AND METHODS - A system and methods for implementing education online by providing institutions with the means for allowing the creation of courses to be taken by students online, the courses including assignments, announcements, course materials, chat and whiteboard facilities, and the like, all of which are available to the students over a network such as the Internet. Various levels of functionality are provided through a three-tiered licensing program that suits the needs of the institution offering the program. In addition, an open platform system is provided such that anyone with access to the Internet can create, manage, and offer a course to anyone else with access to the Internet without the need for an affiliation with an institution, thus enabling the virtual classroom to extend worldwide.12-24-2009
20110010210EDUCATIONAL ASSET DISTRIBUTION SYSTEM AND METHOD - An educational asset distribution system including an asset registration module which obtains information about a plurality of educational assets, said information including fixed metadata descriptive of an educational asset, and information for accessing the educational asset; a learning management system interface which receives context data descriptive of a user of a learning management system; a dynamic metadata storage which stores a portion of the context data in association with the fixed metadata; and an educational assets management module for managing the plurality of educational assets based on the context data, the information about the plurality of educational assets, and data stored in the dynamic metadata storage.01-13-2011
