20100016096HIGH VOLUME AERODYNAMIC GOLF CLUB HEAD - A high volume aerodynamic golf club head with a club head volume of at least 400 cc and a front-to-back dimension of at least 4.4 inches producing a face-on normalized aerodynamic drag force of less than 1.5 lbf when exposed to a 100 mph wind parallel to the ground plane and oriented at the front of the club head. The club head has a crown section having a crown apex located an apex height above a ground plane, wherein a portion of the crown section between the crown apex and the face has an apex-to-front radius of curvature that is less than 3 inches. An apex ratio of the apex height to a maximum face top edge height is at least 1.13. The apex height and location of the crown apex obtain desirable airflow reattachment close to the face and improve airflow attachment to the crown section.01-21-2010
20100016097HIGH VOLUME AERODYNAMIC GOLF CLUB HEAD HAVING A POST APEX ATTACHMENT PROMOTING REGION - A high volume aerodynamic golf club head having a post apex attachment promoting region with a club head volume of at least 400 cc and a front-to-back dimension of at least 4.4 inches producing a face-on normalized aerodynamic drag force of less than 1.5 lbf when exposed to a 100 mph wind parallel to the ground plane and oriented at the front of the club head. The post apex attachment promoting region is on the surface of the crown section at an elevation above a maximum face height and begins at the crown apex and extends toward the back of the club head. The post apex attachment promoting region is a relatively flat portion of the crown section that is behind the crown apex, yet above the maximum top edge plane, and aides in keeping airflow attached to the club head once it flows past the crown apex.01-21-2010

20080277251Electrical switch apparatus and methods - Particular embodiments of the inventive technology may relate to an electrical switch apparatus, and related methods, that include a conductive contiguity, alone with which two sequential electrical contacts may be induced upon application of force by a user, thereby effecting two or more distinct electrical events. Embodiments of the inventive technology may more specifically include a conductive contiguity having a truncated leg that enables inducement of a first electrical contact before a second, subsequential contact is induced.11-13-2008

20090213527X8R Dielectric Composition For Use With Nickel Electrodes - Multilayer ceramic chip capacitors which satisfy X8R requirements and which are compatible with reducing atmosphere sintering conditions so that non-noble metals such as nickel and nickel alloys thereof may be used for internal and external electrodes are made in accordance with the invention. The capacitors exhibit desirable dielectric properties (high capacitance, low dissipation factor, high insulation resistance), excellent performance on highly accelerated life testing, and very good resistance to dielectric breakdown. The dielectric layers comprise a barium titanate base material doped with other metal oxides such as BaO, Y08-27-2009

20100287655NUCLEOTIDE SEQUENCES MEDIATING PLANT MALE FERTILITY AND METHOD OF USING SAME - Nucleotide sequences mediating male fertility in plants are described, with DNA molecule and amino acid sequences set forth. Promoter sequences and their essential regions are also identified. The nucleotide sequences are useful in mediating male fertility in plants. In one such method, the homozygous recessive condition of male sterility causing alleles is maintained after crossing with a second plant, where the second plant contains a restoring transgene construct having a nucleotide sequence which reverses the homozygous condition. The restoring sequence is linked with a hemizygous sequence encoding a product inhibiting formation or function of male gametes. The maintainer plant produces only viable male gametes which do not contain the restoring transgene construct. Increase of the maintainer plant is also provided by self-fertilization, and selection for seed or plants which contain the construct.11-11-2010
