20090043075RECOMBINANT PEPTIDE PRODUCTION USING A CROSS-LINKABLE SOLUBILITY TAG - The invention relates to the recombinant expression of a peptide of interest in the form of a fusion protein comprising a solubility tag. The fusion protein comprises at least two portions separated by a cleavable peptide sequence wherein one portion is devoid of cysteine residues and the second portion comprises an effective number of cross-linkable cysteine residues. After cell lysis and isolation of the fusion protein, the fusion protein is subsequently cleaved into a mixture of first and second portions. Oxidative cross-linking is used to selectively precipitate one of the two portions to facilitate simple and effective separation of the peptide of interest.02-12-2009

20110244554MECHANICAL DEVICE FOR DISPERSING BIOMASS POPULATIONS - A biomass dispersing system and method that breaks up biomass aggregates is disclosed. The system is designed to avoid cell damage and loss of cell viability while dispersing biomass aggregates for applications where biomass aggregates can cause operation problems. The dispersed biomass suspension obtained using the disclosed system will not plug the oil wells during biomass injection into underground wells.10-06-2011
20120006534METHOD FOR PRE-TREATMENT OF SUBTERRANEAN SITES ADJACENT TO WATER INJECTION WELLS - A method to improve the effectiveness of MEOR or bioremediation processes has been disclosed. In this method toxic chemicals accumulated in subterranean sites adjacent to the water injection wells are either dispersed or removed prior to introduction of microbial inocula for enhanced microbial oil recovery or bioremediation of these sites.01-12-2012
