20110230256SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DELIVERING ELECTRONIC MEDIA CONTENT ON A MULTI-LEVEL BASIS - A system and method for delivering an electronic video game allows a consumer to purchase the game in sequential portions. The video game is broken down into incremental portions that are each individually available for sale. A consumer purchases a first portion of the video game that contains the first level, or set of levels, of the game. When the first portion is completed by the consumer, the consumer can then buy the next sequential portion for an additional incremental sum of money. The incremental portions may contain one or more levels. Similarly, the initial purchase vehicle may contain the entire game and a consumer purchases key codes to access subsequent portions of the game.09-22-2011

20110104801METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR CELL-CYCLE REGULATION - In some aspects, the invention provides methods and compositions including HTm4, an HTm4 activator, and/or an HTm4 variant to potentiate a KAP phosphatase activity and or inhibit a CDK2 kinase activity. In some embodiments, a functional C-terminal fragment of HTm4 is provided. In other aspects, the invention provides methods and compositions including an HTm4 inhibitor to inactivate or decrease the activation of a KAP phospatase activity and/or activate or relieve the inhibition on a CDK2 kinase activity. Certain aspects of the invention relate to therapeutic compositions and methods for either inhibiting or promoting cell proliferation.05-05-2011
20110195903METHODS AND COMPOSITIONS FOR DETECTING RECESSIVE FAMILIAL FSGS AND USES THEREOF - Described herein are genomic and proteomic biomarkers for the diagnosis of FSGS. Methods for diagnosing FSGS or a predisposition to develop FSGS using the described biomarkers are also provided. Further provided are methods for choosing a course of treatment or administering treatment based on a diagnosis of FSGS using the disclosed biomarkers.08-11-2011

20100225447SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DYNAMICALLY TRACKING AND STATE FORECASTING TAGGED ENTITIES - A method is provided for dynamically improving a progress of an entity through an operation, the entity having an electronic tagging device associated therewith. The method includes sensing signals emitted by the tagging device, communicating the sensed signals and corresponding energy levels to a data processor, processing the energy levels to track locations of the tagging device relatively to the predetermined sites of the sensors, dynamically updating a path of the tagging device and the associated entity based on the tracked locations with respect to at least a portion of the operation, triggering simultaneously a forecasting simulation, determining whether the forecasting simulation encounters a problem, identifying a modification of a parameter related to the entity or the operation that substantially mitigates the problem, and incorporating dynamically the modification of the parameter to improve the progress of the entity through the operation.09-09-2010
20110178839METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR EVALUATING A CONSUMER PRODUCT BASED ON WEB-SEARCHABLE CRITERIA - A method is provided for generating a value of a product by aggregating product information collected from a plurality of sources in a networked computer system. The method determines appropriate indicators for the product, and collects information associated with the located products from one or more of the sources. The method further selects a set of data from the parsed information and curve-fits the set of data based on the predetermined parameters to generate the value of the product.07-21-2011

20080265812Electric powertrain system having bidirectional DC generator - An electric powertrain for use with an engine and a traction device is disclosed. The electric powertrain has a DC motor/generator operable to receive at least a portion of a first mechanical output from the engine and produce a DC power output. The DC motor/generator is also operable to receive DC power and produce a second mechanical output. The electric powertrain further has a drivetrain operable to receive the DC power output and use the DC power output to drive the traction device. The drivetrain is also operable to generate DC power when the traction device is operated in a dynamic braking mode.10-30-2008
20080272719Selectively configurable electric motor - A selectively configurable electric motor comprises a stator and a plurality of poles electrically coupled to the stator. The selectively configurable electric motor also includes an actuator separated from the poles by an air gap and configured to move relative to the stator in the presence of an electromagnetic field. The selectively configurable electric motor further includes a plurality of electric conductors, each of the plurality of electric conductors substantially wound around one of the plurality of poles. The selectively configurable electric motor also includes a power converter, at least a portion of which is coupled to the plurality of electric conductors, including a plurality of switching elements configured to selectively couple one or more of the plurality of electric conductors in a predetermined electrical configuration.11-06-2008
