20080297434STEREOSCOPIC LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY (LCD) WITH POLARIZATION METHOD - A display system for stereoscopic displaying of images includes a pair of wide viewing angle displays arranged at an angle to each other, each display providing respective images formed by plane polarized light. A beam combiner is located between the displays such that the beam combiner transmits light from one display and reflects light from the other display, whereby the transmitted and reflected light are provided via the beam combiner in substantially the same direction. One of the wide viewing angle displays has a substantially vertical polarization and the other of the wide viewing angle displays has a substantially horizontal polarization. The display system provides for stereoscopic display of high-resolution images with wide horizontal and vertical viewing angles.12-04-2008
20090167712Reflection resistant touch screens - A flexible, non-birefringent cover and a polarizer on the front of a resistive touch panel reduce touch screen image distortion and obscuration resulting from the reflection of ambient light. Reduced reflection of ambient light is also obtained by touch screens of alternative construction incorporating combinations anti-reflection panels and polarizers located behind the touch panel.07-02-2009
20090241386FLAME SIMULATING ASSEMBLY WITH ELECTRONIC DISPLAY AND BACKLIGHT - A flame simulating apparatus (10-01-2009
20100013793LIGHT SENSITIVE DISPLAY WITH PRESSURE SENSOR - A system comprising a display having a stack of layers configured to display an image, multiple elements included in the stack of layers and a pressure sensor. Each of the multiple elements is configured to sense light. The pressure sensor is distinct from the multiple elements and is configured to sense a pressure applied to the display.01-21-2010
20100013794LIGHT SENSITIVE DISPLAY WITH MULTIPLE DATA SET OBJECT DETECTION - A display device including a surface for viewing an image comprising a stack of layers configured to display the image and a first and second set of light sensitive elements included in the stack. The first set of light sensitive elements is configured to provide a first data set corresponding to an object on or near the surface based on a first sensitivity to light. The second set of light sensitive elements is configured to provide a second data set corresponding to the object on or near the surface based on a second sensitivity to light. One of the first and the second data sets is selected and a location of the object on or near the surface is determined based on the selected data set.01-21-2010
20100013796LIGHT SENSITIVE DISPLAY WITH OBJECT DETECTION CALIBRATION - A system comprising a stack of layers configured to display an image and including multiple elements configured to sense light. The system is configured to obtain a first reference image based on output from the multiple elements in a dark lighting condition associated with the system, and calibrate object detection based on output from the multiple elements using the obtained reference image. Additionally, a system comprising a display having a stack of layers configured to display an image and including a first and second set of elements. Each of the elements in the first set is configured to sense light, and each of the elements in the second set is configured to sense a dark current. The system is configured to perform object detection based on output from the elements in the first set, and calibrate the object detection based on output from the elements in the second set.01-21-2010
20100020044LIGHT SENSITIVE DISPLAY WITH SWITCHABLE DETECTION MODES - A display device including a surface for viewing an image comprising a stack of layers configured to display the image. A processor is configured to include switchable detection modes. Each mode is preconfigured to detect an object on or near the surface based on a given sensitivity to light, and has a different sensitivity than other of the modes.01-28-2010
20100059296Light sensitive display - A light sensitive display. 03-11-2010
