20100186208COMPRESSION FERRULE REMOVAL TOOL - A ferrule extraction tool for sliding a ferrule off of a pipe is disclosed. The tool may be operated with one hand such that a plumber may operate the tool in hard to reach areas. The tool has an actuator which pushes a yoke. The yoke engages a smooth rod and traverses a ram forward upon actuation of an actuator. Upon release of the actuator, the yoke releases the smooth rod and is traversed back to a retracted position via a spring force. A brake prevents rearward traversal of the rod as the yoke is traversed in a rearward direction. To reset the tool after removing the ferrule from the pipe, the operator may release the brake such that the operator may traverse the rod and the ram back to the retracted position.07-29-2010

20100029017Mono-chlorinated hydroxycoumarin conjugates - The present invention provides fluorescent biopolymers that are amino acid polymers conjugated to multiple mono-chlorinated 3-carbonyl-7-hydroxy-coumarin dyes, and methods of their use. The fluorescent biopolymers containing multiple mono-chlorinated 3-carbonyl-7-hydroxy-coumarin dyes generally exhibit superior fluorescence properties compared to biopolymers labeled with multiple non-chlorinated hydroxycoumarin dyes. The fluorescent biopolymers of the invention in which the amino acid polymer is an antigen-specific antibody are particularly useful for analyzing cells by flow cytometers that are equipped with a violet laser as an excitation source due to their strong absorption at 405 nm and high fluorescence quantum yield.02-04-2010

20090192984Personalized Ad Delivery When Ads Fatigue - A method is disclosed for diminishing user advertisement fatigue to increase click efficiency, including receiving a search query or browsing action from a user; analyzing a plurality of advertisements available for delivery to a search results page in response to the search query or browsing action; arranging the plurality of advertisements in a queue so that, when delivered sequentially from the queue, no advertisement is viewable more than once on a search results page, to thereby reduce advertisement fatigue of the user; and delivering the queued plurality of advertisements sequentially to the search results pages of the user.07-30-2009
20090254414METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR MANAGING ADVERTISEMENT QUALITY OF SPONSORED ADVERTISEMENTS - Various embodiments of systems and methods for auctioning sponsored ads are provided. The auctioning systems and methods take hidden costs of sponsored ads into account. A user's future propensity to click on ads is influenced by his/her experience with past clicks. An ad with disappointing quality of landing page imposes a negative externality on the search engine and the future stream of revenue from a user is reduced. The externality may also be positive. A good experience with an ad may train users to pay more attention to other ads. The externality of an advertisement (ad) can be considered as a “hidden cost.” Including hidden costs of sponsored ads in the auctioning process promote (or encourage) ads with good quality and discourage (or penalize) ads with poor quality. By doing so, advertisers are likely to improve the quality of ads being placed in the bidding pool, which will result in improvement in the overall quality of sponsored ads. Users benefit from the higher quality ads. The advertisers also benefit from the higher quality ads by paying less or no hidden costs for ads and by getting more satisfied customers. The search engine (site) can also benefit from having higher quality sponsored ads to gain more ad revenue.10-08-2009
