20150128358 | CLEANING METHOD AND APPARATUS - A method for cleaning at least one soiled substrate in a rotatably mounted cylindrical drum of a cleaning apparatus with a multiplicity of solid particles comprising the steps of: a) agitating said at least one soiled substrate in said drum with wash liquor and said multiplicity of solid particles for a first cleaning cycle wherein said wash liquor comprises at least one cleaning agent; b) draining said wash liquor from said cleaning apparatus; and c) introducing an aqueous non-detergent medium into said cleaning apparatus and agitating said at least one soiled substrate with said multiplicity of solid particles in said drum for a second cleaning cycle. The invention further discloses a method for cleaning at least one soiled substrate in a rotatably mounted drum of a cleaning apparatus, the method comprising rotating the drum such that said at least one soiled substrate moves about a generally circular path and introducing a multiplicity of solid particles into the drum as said drum rotates wherein said multiplicity of solid particles are introduced through an annulus defined by the generally circular path. Apparatus configured for carrying out the methods are also disclosed. | 05-14-2015 |

20150152357 | NEW CLEANING MATERIAL - The invention provides a cleaning formulation comprising a multiplicity of solid cleaning particles, wherein the solid cleaning particles comprise polymeric particles and at least one cleaning agent, wherein the at least one cleaning agent is immobilised on the surface of the polymeric particles. Typically the at least one cleaning agent is immobilised on the surface of the polymeric particles by means of chemical bonds, typically ionic bonds, hydrogen bonds, covalent bonds, polar bonds, or bonds formed by virtue of unequal charge distributions between polymeric particles and immobilised materials. The invention also provides a method for the cleaning of a substrate, the method comprising the treatment of the substrate with a formulation according to the invention, and a method for the preparation of the cleaning formulation of the invention which comprises treating a multiplicity of polymeric particles with at least one cleaning agent. | 06-04-2015 |

20140109899 | AEROSOL DELIVERY SYSTEMS, COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS - An aerosol preparation assembly includes an entrainment chamber defining an entrainment volume. The entrainment chamber includes a gas inlet port, an aerosol inlet port and an outlet port. The entrainment chamber is configured such that a velocity of a flow of a gas within the entrainment volume is less than a velocity of the flow of the gas within the gas inlet port. The entrainment chamber is configured such that at least a portion of inlet aerosol is entrained into the flow of the gas within the entrainment volume to produce an entrained aerosol flow at the outlet port. The particle selection chamber is configured to receive the entrained aerosol flow and produce an outlet aerosol flow. The particle selection chamber and nozzle are collectively configured such that a volumetric median diameter of the outlet aerosol flow is less than a volumetric median diameter of the inlet aerosol. | 04-24-2014 |

20140158127 | NASAL CANNULA FOR DELIVERY OF AEROSOLIZED MEDICAMENTS - An apparatus can include a nasal cannula assembly, which includes a face piece. The face piece includes a plenum portion and a nasal interface portion. The plenum portion is configured to be coupled to a supply line and defines a flow path configured to receive an aerosol flow from the supply line. The nasal interface portion includes a first delivery protrusion and a second delivery protrusion. The first delivery protrusion is configured to convey a first portion of the aerosol flow to a first nostril, and the second delivery protrusion is configured to deliver a second portion of the aerosol flow to a second nostril. The plenum portion includes a sidewall having a curved surface configured to redirect the second portion of the aerosol flow towards the second delivery protrusion. The sidewall is configured to isolate the flow path from a volume downstream from the second delivery protrusion. | 06-12-2014 |
