20100144262 | Air Filter for a Vehicle Air Conditioning System, Vehicle Air Conditioning System Comprising an Air Filter with a Moisture Sensor and a Method for Operating a Vehicle Air Conditioning System - An air filter, which is intended for installation in an air conditioning system of a vehicle and which exhibits a moisture sensor, is disposed on and/or at the air filter. The moisture sensor is a component of an electric circuit section, which is arranged on and/or at the air filter. The moisture sensor is a capacitive sensor, whose capacitance depends on the moisture loading of the air, flowing around the sensor. At least one electric property of the electric circuit section represents the type of air filter. | 06-10-2010 |
20130333398 | Cooling Device for Vehicles and Method for Controlling and/or Regulating a Cooling Device - A cooling device and to a method for controlling a cooling device for vehicles is provided, the cooling device including a refrigerant compressor, a condenser downstream of the refrigerant compressor in the flow direction of the refrigerant, a first evaporator downstream of the condenser for cooling air to be supplied to the passenger compartment, a second evaporator arranged parallel to the first evaporator for cooling an electric accumulator, and a control unit which is configured to control the refrigerant compressor as a function of the cooling demands for the passenger compartment and/or the electric accumulator on the basis of the higher cooling demand requirement. The cooling device may further include electric valves between the condenser and the first and second evaporators to control a cooling capacity of the first and/or second evaporator to meet the cooling demands of the passenger compartment and/or the electric accumulator. | 12-19-2013 |

20090008000 | Method for the Production and Use of Semi-Finished Products on the Basis of Nickel, Having a Recrystallization Cube Texture - The invention relates to a method for producing and using a nickel-based semi-finished product embodied in the form of a strip or flat wire. The aim of the invention is to develop a method for producing a nickel-based semi-finished product which exhibits improved performance characteristics for the use in the form of a base for physical-chemical coatings provided with a high-quality intense microstructural orientation. The semi-finished product should have an improved granular structure provided with a stable cube texture. For this purpose, the inventive method consists in producing an initial semi-finished product by means of a fusion or powder metallurgy process including mechanical alloys, wherein the semi-finished product comprises a technically pure Ni or the alloy thereof containing an Ag additive in a microalloy range which is equal to or greater than 10 atom ppm and is equal to or less than 1000 atom ppm, in shaping the initial semi-finished product in the form of a strip or flat wire by hot- and cold forming processes with a thickness reduction >50% associated with an intermediate measuring. During the intermediate measuring, the semi-finished product is softened by annealing at a temperature ranging from 500 to 850° C., wherein the high temperatures are used for high Ag contents, and is subsequently quenched. Afterwards, the semi-finished product is exposed to the 80% cold shaping. The inventive method also consists in carrying out a recrystallization annealing treatment in such a way that the entire cubic texture is obtainable. The inventive semi-finished product is used in the form of a base for physical-chemical coatings provided with a high-quality intense microstructural orientation and for producing a high-temperature superconductor in the form of a flat wire or strip. | 01-08-2009 |

20110083768 | METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND KITS FOR SHIPPING AND/OR OFF-LOADING GRANULAR PRODUCTS - The application relates to shipping and off-loading of a granular, powdered, or other particulate materials using flexible containers, where the product tends to partially or fully consolidate during loading and/or shipping, therefore making off-loading problematic. One method includes loading a granular product into a flexible container, shipping the product-loaded flexible container to an end user or intermediate storage facility, and off-loading the granular product from the flexible container. The off-loading includes fluidly connecting a fluid supply conduit to the flexible container, commencing flow of fluid into the flexible container, forming a slurry of at least a portion the granular product and the fluid, and routing the slurry out of the flexible container through a slurry off-loading conduit. In some instances the methods include heating the fluid before and/or during its flow into the flexible container. | 04-14-2011 |
