20090108120 | Adjustable vertical accumulator for slitting operation - A vertical accumulator for use in a sheet metal unwinding, slitting and rewinding operation accumulates the slack created in the plurality of strips cut from an initial wide coil so that the proper tension can be maintained on the individual strips being rewound. The accumulator includes an elongated mandrel mounted for rotation about a horizontal axis parallel to the axis of the original sheet metal coil and is arranged such that all of the plurality of cut strips pass over the top of the mandrel. The mandrel is located above the height of the coil and above the height of the slitter and the rewound individual strips. A plurality of disks mounted on the mandrel separate the cut strips from each other. Upwardly extending threaded rotatable rods located on either side of the sheet metal strips carry holders that releasably support the mandrel. Rotation of the rods causes the holders to move up or down to thereby adjust the height of the mandrel. | 04-30-2009 |

20090277738 | ROLLER, SPRAG OR RATCHET ONE-WAY CLUTCH WITH TWO BACKING PLATES - A one-way clutch is provided that includes a first race, a second race having relative rotational movement with the first race, a locking mechanism to allow relative rotational movement between the races in one direction only and first and second backing plates connected with the first race. | 11-12-2009 |
20100288592 | One-Way Clutch Operable With One or No Races and Without Race Pockets for Locking Elements - The present disclosure sets forth a one-way clutch. The one-way clutch can function with one or no races as opposed to conventional prior art one-way clutches. In so doing, the overall size and weight requirements of the one-way clutch are drastically reduced, which in turn drastically reduces the overall size and weight requirements of the transmission and vehicle employing the transmission as well. The present disclosure also provides a one-way clutch having an outer race provided by axially spaced plates. An inner race is rotatably mounted with respect to one of the plates and the inner race has a ratchet surface. Ratchet pawls are pivotably mounted with respect to the plates and have unidirectional engagement with the ratchet surface of the inner race. In addition to reducing material and labor production costs, such lessened size and weight penalties translate into higher transmission efficiency and better vehicle fuel economy. | 11-18-2010 |
20110155530 | SYNCHRO-LOCK CLUTCH-COMBINATION FRICTION AND MECHANICAL LOCKING CLUTCH - A composite clutch used to transmit an operational range of torques from a driving member to a driven member includes a friction clutch assembly and a dog clutch assembly. The friction clutch assembly includes a number of first friction clutch members coupled to the driving member and a number of second friction clutch members coupled to the driven member. The number of first friction clutch members and the number of second friction clutch members are selected to transmit torque across a first portion of the operational range of torques. An actuator assembly is operatively coupled to the friction clutch assembly and the dog clutch assembly. The composite clutch may be operated in friction clutch and dog modes to provide improved controllability in lower torque operation. | 06-30-2011 |
20110269587 | ONE-WAY OR SELECTABLE CLUTCH WITH MULTIPLE ROWS OF RATCHET ELEMENTS - A one-way or selectable clutch with multiple circumferential rows of ratchet elements is disclosed. The clutch may include two or more rows of ratchet elements extending between two or more races. The device may be either a one-way clutch or a selectable mechanical clutch, and afford the benefits of reduced backlash and multiple modes of operation. Those modes may include free-wheel/overrun in both clockwise and counterclockwise directions, lock/transmit torque in both directions, lock in clockwise and overrun in counterclockwise directions, and lock in counterclockwise and overrun in clockwise directions. | 11-03-2011 |

The agricultural blend includes a slag by-product from a process having a slag other than stainless steel slag or includes 11 atomic % silicon from a soluble compound and total silicon of less than about 30 atomic % silicon or greater than about 39 atomic % silicon. The process includes producing a slag by-product and blending the slag by-product with a liquid binder system to form the agricultural blend, the slag not being stainless steel slag. | 10-17-2013 |
20130283874 | METHOD OF TREATING SOIL AND A METHOD OF SEQUESTERING HEAVY METALS IN SOIL - The present disclosure describes a method of treating soil and a method of sequestering heavy metals in soil. The method of treating soil includes applying a blend to the soil to form treated soil, the blend including a slag by-product having a soluble compound. The soluble compound includes silicon. The method of sequestering heavy metals includes applying a blend to soil to form treated soil, the blend including a slag by-product having a soluble compound, and forming a substantially inert particle in the treated soil, the substantially inert particle including the blend and the heavy metals. | 10-31-2013 |
20130333428 | AGRICULTURAL BINDER SYSTEM, AGRICULTURAL BLEND, AND PROCESS OF FORMING AN AGRICULTURAL BLEND - The present disclosure describes an agricultural blend and a process of forming an agricultural blend. 20110203580 | AEROSOL DELIVERY SYSTEMS AND METHODS - Methods and systems for aerosol delivery of agents to a patient are described herein. The present system can be used to administer various types of agents, such as a vaccine or other types of pharmaceutical substances. Certain embodiments of the present system utilize an actuator coupled to a disposable aerosolizing element that aerosolizes an agent for delivery to a patient when acted upon by the actuator. The aerosolizing element prevents the agent from contacting the actuator and other non-disposable components of the system so that little or no cleaning or maintenance is required. The present system also can include an aerosolization rate monitor that monitors the rate at which an agent is being aerosolized and provides feedback to the user to ensure that the proper dose is being administered. | 08-25-2011 |

The nasal prong can comprises an opening at a top and bottom portion of the prong to allow for the passage of an aerosolized treatment agent through the nasal prong. The activation member can be positioned on the nasal delivery device at a location that is spaced apart from the subject's oral cavity when the nasal prong is received into the nostril of the subject. The activation member can be configured to detect a desired exhalation state of the subject and upon detection of the desired exhalation state, the activation member activates the delivery of the aerosolized treatment agent. | 03-21-2013 |
