20110088015 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR REMOTELY DEBUGGING APPLICATION PROGRAMS - A method, system, and apparatus for debugging an application program from a workstation that is remote from a server on which the application program resides includes invoking the application program from the workstation via a network interface; displaying a user frame at the workstation that includes information generated by the application program; providing a debug view option at the workstation for generating a debug frame of the application program; and displaying the debug frame at the workstation when the debug view option is selected. A user can select options to switch between the user frame and the debug frame. The debug frame includes information about one or more components of the application program such as a list of the variables or objects, and the fields, methods, and/or the constructors associated with them. When the debug view option is selected, the information for the user frame is saved, and can be restored to regenerate the information on the user frame when the user view option is selected. The developer can view internal, public, and private code associated with the application program without compromising the security of other application programs on the server. This ability to remotely debug application programs in accordance with the present invention is thus more time and cost efficient than previous methods, and also alleviates concerns about security and unauthorized access to the server. | 04-14-2011 |
20110270805 | CONCURRENT LONG SPANNING EDIT SESSIONS USING CHANGE LISTS WITH EXPLICIT ASSUMPTIONS - An approach is provided that receives a change request from a requestor. The change request includes metadata regarding the change, one or more changes, and one or more change assumptions corresponding to at least one of the changes. The change request is stored in a data store of pending requests. One or more systems are identified that correspond to each of the change assumptions. The identified systems are automatically queried with queries that correspond to the change assumptions. Query responses in response to the querying are received from the identified systems. The validity of each of the change assumptions is determined based on the received query responses. If the change assumptions are valid, then the changes included in the change request are processed. On the other hand, if at least one of the change assumptions is invalid, then the change request is rejected. | 11-03-2011 |

20120330991 | Context- And Version-Aware Facade For Database Queries - A method, computer program product, and system for accessing versioned data objects within a database, comprising creating a first new connection to a database stored in a memory, receiving a first query from a first client that requests access to a versioned data object stored in the database, and modifying the received first query to add contextual information configured on the first new connection, so that the modified first query is able to retrieve a first version of the versioned data object that corresponds to the contextual information. | 12-27-2012 |
20130013633 | Context-and-Version-Aware Facade for Database Queries - A method, computer program product, and system for accessing versioned data objects within a database, comprising creating a first new connection to a database stored in a memory, receiving a first query from a first client that requests access to a versioned data object stored in the database, and modifying the received first query to add contextual information configured on the first new connection, so that the modified first query is able to retrieve a first version of the versioned data object that corresponds to the contextual information. | 01-10-2013 |
