20080236721 | METHOD FOR STRETCHING POLYMER FILM AND DEVICE FOR RECOVERING SLIT FILM EDGE - A rear end portion of a leading TAC film and a front end portion of a following TAC film are connected using a double-sided adhesive tape and a single-sided adhesive tape. A laser welding device emits a welding laser beam along a welding line onto the films. Owing to the welding laser beam, the leading and following TAC films are welded along the welding line. The laser welding device emits a cutout laser beam along a cutout line onto the films. Owing to the cutout laser beam, a part of the leading and following TAC films surrounded by the cutout line is cut out. The cut out part has the single-sided adhesive tape attached. Since the tape cannot be recycled, the cut out part is absorbed by an absorbing device and disposed. | 10-02-2008 |
20080237913 | METHOD FOR STRETCHING POLYMER FILM - A rear end portion of a leading TAC film and a front end portion of a following TAC film are connected using a double-sided adhesive tape and acetone, in order to stretch the TAC films continuously in a tenter. The double-sided adhesive tape is constituted of a base whose material is same as the TAC film and an adhesive layer coated on both surfaces of the base. Acetone is one of solvents used for preparing a dope in the TAC film production. The double-sided adhesive tape is firstly stuck on an upper surface of the rear end portion of the leading TAC film. Acetone is then applied, using a spray, on coating areas of the rear end portion of the leading TAC film. After that, the front end portion of the following TAC film is layered on the rear end portion of the leading TAC film, and the films are pressed and connected. | 10-02-2008 |
20080237916 | METHOD FOR STRETCHING POLYMER FILM - A rear end portion of a leading TAC film and a front end portion of a following TAC film are dissolved in acetone and connected. After being stretched in a tenter, the TAC films are sent to an edge slitting device. In the edge slitting device, both side edges of the TAC films that are held with clips are slit along slit lines. The slit side edges are cut into pieces by a cutter blower and then shredded into chips by a crusher. Since the slit side edges of the leading and following TAC films are welded with acetone, they can be recycled as being connected. | 10-02-2008 |
20110030877 | POLYMER FILM SPLICING METHOD AND DEVICE, AND STRETCHING METHOD - An off-line stretching device includes a film supply chamber, a tenter section, a relaxation chamber, a cooling chamber, and a winding chamber. The film supply chamber includes a splicing section, where a rear end of a preceding film and a front end of a trailing film are overlapped to be spliced to each other by thermal welding. The thermal welding is performed from above and below the film while a temperature of welding heads of a heat sealer, contacting with the film, is kept at a level equal to or less than a decomposition temperature of the preceding and trailing films. The spliced film is stretched in the tenter section and subjected to heat treatment for stress relaxation in the relaxation chamber, to shrink in a film width direction. Since the shrinkage amount of a spliced area and that of a peripheral area become equal to each other, the occurrence of wrinkles in the spliced area and tears of the film in the peripheral area can be prevented. Additionally, since a heat transfer distance between a film surface and a film splicing surface can be shortened, the heating from above and below the film enables high-speed welding. | 02-10-2011 |

20080237927 | METHOD FOR STRETCHING POLYMER FILM AND DEVICE FOR RECOVERING SLIT FILM EDGE - A rear end portion of a leading TAC film and a front end portion of a following TAC film are connected using a double-sided adhesive tape and a single-sided adhesive tape. Both side edges of the TAC films are slit with cutters of an edge slitting device. The slit side edges are sent to a cutter blower. In the cutter blower, the slit side edges are cut into small pieces and sent to a crusher through a first pipe. Upon receiving a tape detection signal, a plate controller rotates a plate from a close position to an open position. When the plate is in the open position, the cut films are sent from the first pipe to a second pipe via an opening, and then to a receptacle. | 10-02-2008 |

20090151862 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CONTINUOUSLY STRETCHING POLYMER FILMS - A rear end of a preceding film and a front end of a trailing film are overlapped with an overlap length Lo. Each of a pair of welding heads has a contact surface and a film heating surface. The contact surface has a length Lp in a conveying direction. The film heating surface has a length Lh in the conveying direction. The lengths Lh, Lo, and Lp satisfy Lh06-18-2009 | |
20090184446 | METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR STRETCHING POLYMER FILM - In a polymer film stretching system, a tentering machine draws polymer film of cellulose acylate containing additive of triphenyl phosphate in a transverse direction while the polymer film is guided continuously and heated. A stretching chamber contains the tentering machine. A far infrared heater and heat roller heat the polymer film before entry to the stretching chamber to set temperature of the polymer film upon entry to the stretching chamber in a range equal to or higher than T+10 (deg. C.) and equal to or lower than T+80 (deg. C.), where T (deg. C.) is a condensation temperature of the additive evaporated in the stretching chamber. Furthermore, a film dispenser supplies the polymer film from a film roll to the tentering machine. | 07-23-2009 |
20090242105 | POLYMER FILM STRETCHING METHOD - A front end portion of a following film is superimposed on a rear end portion of a preceding film to form a superimposed portion, and is joined thereto by a double-sided adhesive tape. The length of the double-sided adhesive tape in a film conveyance direction is shorter than that of the superimposed portion. The double-sided adhesive tape adheres to the rear end portion with leaving a rear space from a rear edge, and to the front end portion with leaving a front space from a front edge. The length of the rear space in the film conveyance direction is a maximum shrinkage of a first area, being a part of the front end portion superimposed on the rear space, or more. Likewise, the length of the front space in the film conveyance direction is a maximum shrinkage of a second area or more. | 10-01-2009 |
