20090164270 | CALCULATING IN-FLIGHT METRICS FOR NON-INTERRUPTIBLE BUSINESS TRANSACTIONS - Metrics are calculated from information acquired during execution of transactions for transactions that cannot be identified during execution. In-flight or execution related metrics are grouped by transaction type and time period. The transaction name is associated with the metrics once the transaction has completed, and data is reported for the time period once all transactions executing in that time period have completed. When a transaction has completed execution, in-flight metrics may be determined for the transaction for each time period in which other transactions executing in that time period have completed. When all transactions executing during a particular time period are complete, the in-flight metrics for transactions executing during that time period are determined and stored. The in-flight metrics may include concurrency, stalls and other data. | 06-25-2009 |
20100058345 | AUTOMATIC AND DYNAMIC DETECTION OF ANOMOLOUS TRANSACTIONS - Anomalous transactions are identified and reported. Transactions are monitored from the server at which they are performed. A baseline is dynamically determined for transaction performance based on recent performance data for the transaction. The more recent performance data may be given a greater weight than less recent performace data. Anomalous transactions are then identified based on comparing the actual transaction performance to the baseline for the transaction. An agent installed on an application server performing the transaction receives monitoring data, determines baseline data, and identifies anomalous transactions. For each anomalous transaction, transaction performance data and other data is reported. | 03-04-2010 |
20110098973 | Automatic Baselining Of Metrics For Application Performance Management - An application monitoring system monitors one or more applications to generate and report application performance data for transactions. Actual performance data for one or more metrics is compared with a baseline metric value(s) to detect anomalous transactions or components thereof. Automatic baselining for a selected metric is provided using variability based on a distribution range and arithmetic mean of actual performance data to determine an appropriate sensitivity for boundaries between comparison levels. A user-defined sensitivity parameter allows adjustment of baselines to increase or decrease comparison sensitivity for a selected metric. The system identifies anomalies in transactions, components of transaction based on a comparison of actual performance data with the automatically determined baseline for a corresponding metric. The system reports performance data and other transactional data for identified anomalies. | 04-28-2011 |

20100324565 | MIDDLE EAR RECONSTRUCTION PROCESS AND APPARATUS FOR PERFORMING THE PROCESS - Erosion of elements of the ossicular chain in the middle ear, resulting in hearing loss, is corrected by creating a bridge between the eroded elements, employing a bone cement formed as a paste of a self-hardening material, which is molded into an elongated bridge, secured at its two ends to the elements to be bridged, and supported in its desired position until the material hardens to fuse the two elements, at which time the support may be removed. The material is preferably hydroxyapatite cement, bone source, or similar material, such as ionomeric bone cement. These materials strongly bond to the contacting bone and may stimulate bone in-growth, resulting in osseointegration. The apparatus for forming the bridge consists of a reservoir of the bridge material in liquid or paste form connected to a bridge supporting tube. The tube is preferably placed in contact with the two elements to be bridged and the bone source material is injected into the tube using a manually actuated plunger until the tube is full. The tube is then supported, manually or otherwise, until the material hardens and the supporting tube is removed. | 12-23-2010 |
