20130212012 | System And Method For Mobile Electronic Purchasing - A method for electronic purchasing via a mobile web-enabled smartphone or other communication device. A contacts list containing shipping addresses is stored on the smartphone. Initially, personal payment data, including credit card information, is entered into a smartphone, and sent to a payment gateway. The payment data in the smartphone is then redacted. The payment gateway sends a unique token to the smartphone for use in validating the current purchase transaction. In response to a request for credit card and shipping information from a merchant website for an item to be purchased, a specific one of the credit cards and a specific one of the shipping addresses is selected from a stored profile list. The token for the selected credit card and the shipping address are sent to the merchant website. The token and the selected shipping address are then sent from the merchant site to the payment gateway for validation. | 08-15-2013 |

20110070962 | Principle-based device and method for using an asymmetrical target zone to improve golf-putting skill - Multiple variations on a novel device and method for improving golf-putting skills are disclosed. Specifically, the present invention relates to the construction and use of an asymmetrical golf-putting target zone that encourages users to direct putts to land within a specific two-putt range on the high-percentage side of the cup, where the high-percentage side is determined by the slope and pitch of the putting surface. The motivation for the asymmetry is disclosed, as are the principles for constructing, implementing, and using the asymmetrical zone. Specifically, the axis separating the asymmetrical subregions of the zone is placed either approximately perpendicular to, or approximately coincident upon, an ideal line of the ball's approach and is oriented such that the larger subregion is placed on the side of the cup with the higher elevation, or on the side of the cup further away from the putting location if the putting surface is flat. | 03-24-2011 |

20120316845 | Systems and Methods for Distributed Calculation of Fatigue-Risk Prediction and Optimization - Distributed computing methods and systems are disclosed, wherein intensive fatigue-risk calculations are partitioned according to available computing resources, parameters of the fatigue-risk calculation, time-sensitive user demands, and the like. Methods are disclosed wherein execution-cost functions are used to allocate accessible computing resources. Additional methods include partitioning calculation tasks by user-prioritized needs and by general mathematical features of the calculations themselves. Included herein are methods to calculate only prediction-maximum likelihoods instead of full probability distributions, to calculate prediction likelihoods using Bayesian prediction techniques (instead of full re-tabulation of all data), to collate interim results of fatigue-risk calculations where serial results can be appropriately collated (e.g., serial time-slice independence of the cumulative task involved), to use simplified (e.g., linear, first-order) approximations of richer models of fatigue prediction, to assign user-identified priorities to each computational task within a plurality of such requests, and the like. | 12-13-2012 |
