20140164613 | TRACKING WEB SERVER - A web server is disclosed that is configured to track requests for web pages on a third party web server. The tracking web server traps a web page request, such as a PURL (Personalised URL) for a personalised web page, before it attempts to serve the web page requested. The URL of the web page request is analysed to determine the location of the requested page on a third party server, and details of the contact with which the personalised web page is associated. Receipt of the web page request is then recorded in a memory associated with the server, and the web page request is forwarded to the third party server for processing. The redirection to the third party web server may be seamless, such that the contact requesting the page does not know of the redirection. In this way, a tracking web server is provided which can supply a personalised tracking and forwarding function. | 06-12-2014 |

20100164458 | INDUCTIVE POWER SYSTEM - An inductive power transfer system for coupling a power source to a load across an air gap is provided, including a primary unit and a secondary unit separable from the primary unit and arranged to receive power inductively from the primary unit when placed proximate thereto. The system includes a multi stage comparator for monitoring operating conditions within the secondary unit and feedback loop for transmitting a feedback signal to the primary unit when predetermined operating conditions are detected within the secondary unit. The primary unit is arranged to operate in a low power mode where power is applied to the primary winding for a minimal period during each switching cycle when no feedback signal is received and a high power mode where power is applied to the primary winding for the majority of each switching cycle when a feedback signal is received. The power transfer system functions by applying bursts of power from the primary to the secondary unit, the bursts becoming more frequent and of longer duration as the load on the secondary unit increases or the air gap increases, so as to transfer more power or maintain power as air gap losses increase. The bursts of power will also change their duration and frequency in correspondence with variations of the input power supply to the primary unit, so as to maintain the voltage regulation of the power delivered to the secondary unit. | 07-01-2010 |

20100287638 | NEURAL TUMOR STEM CELLS AND METHODS OF USE THEREOF - The present invention relates to the discovery that renewable stem cell lines can be derived from tumor cells and can be cultured in vitro. Accordingly, the invention provides neural tumor stem cell lines and cells from such cell lines. Because the cell lines retain characteristics of the tumors from which they are derived, the cells can be used in screening methods for identification of potential therapeutic agents and can be used to identify genetic markers which may be predictive for development of such tumors. Finally, such cells can be used to determine an appropriate therapeutic regimen for a patient suffering from a brain tumor. Cells from a patient's brain tumor can be cultured as described herein to create a cell line, and the relative effectiveness of a therapeutic agent against the cells can be tested to determine which agent or combination of agents is most effective in treating the patient's tumor. | 11-11-2010 |
