20140247662 | Efficient Smart Verify Method For Programming 3D Non-Volatile Memory - In a programming operation of a 3D stacked non-volatile memory device, an initial set of memory cells on a selected word line layer, involving fewer than all memory cells on a selected word line layer, are programmed first as a test case to determine optimal conditions for programming the remaining memory cells on the selected word line layer. For example, a number of program-verify iterations or loops which are needed to program the initial set of memory cells an initial amount is determined. This loop count is then stored, e.g., within the initial set of memory cells, within the remaining memory cells, within memory cells on a remaining word line layer, or in a data register, and programming of the initial set of memory cells continues to completion. Subsequently, the loop count is retrieved and used to determine an optimal starting program voltage for programming the remaining memory cells. | 09-04-2014 |

20130155769 | Non-Volatile Memory And Method With Improved First Pass Programming - A nonvolatile memory with a multi-pass programming scheme enables a page of multi-level memory cells to be programmed with reduced floating-gate to floating-gate perturbations (Yuping effect). The memory cells operate within a common threshold voltage range or window, which is partitioned into multiple bands to denote a series of increasingly programmed states. The series is divided into two halves, a lower set and a higher set. The memory cells are programmed in a first, coarse programming pass such that the memory cells of the page with target states from the higher set are programmed to a staging area near midway in the threshold window. In particular, they are programmed closer to their targeted destinations than previous schemes, without incurring much performance penalty. Subsequent passes will then complete the programming more quickly. Yuping effect is reduced since the threshold voltage change in subsequent passes are reduced. | 06-20-2013 |

The Digitizer/Integrator starts to process the energy signals of a γ-radiation sent from the HPGe-Detector instantly when the HPGe-Detector detects the γ-radiation. Subsequently, it is determined whether a coincidence exists between the α-particles and γ-radiation signal, based on a determination of the time-of-flight of neutrons obtained from the α-Detector and the HPGe-Detector. If it is determined that the time-of-flight falls within a predetermined coincidence window, the Digitizer/Integrator is allowed to continue and complete the energy signal processing. If, however, there is no coincidence, the Digitizer/Integrator is instructed to be clear and reset its operation instantly. | 07-19-2012 |

20110047302 | PROGRAMMED I/O ETHERNET ADAPTER WITH EARLY INTERRUPTS FOR ACCELERATING DATA TRANSFER - In a Local Area Network (LAN) system, an Ethernet adapter exchanges data with a host through programmed I/O (PIO) and FIFO buffers. The receive PIO employs a DMA ring buffer backup so incoming packets can be copied directly into host memory when the PIO FIFO buffer is full. The adapter may be programmed to generate early receive interrupts when only a portion of a packet has been received from the network, so as to decrease latency. The adapter may also be programmed to generate a second early interrupt so that the copying of a large packet to the host may overlap reception of the packet end. The adapter to begin packet transmission before the packet is completely transferred from the host to the adapter, which further reduces latency. The minimal latency of the adapter allows it to employ receive and transmit FIFO buffers which are small enough to be contained within RAM internal to an Application Specific Integrated Circuit (ASIC) containing the transceiver, ethernet controller, FIFO control circuitry and the host interface as well. | 02-24-2011 |
