20080302206 | Handle control knob with automatic return for hydraulic power unit - A rotatable control knob with automatic return, controls a valve of a hydraulic cylinder on a jack-stand power unit or a floor jack. The power unit includes a frame having the hydraulic cylinder secured at the rearward end. The control valve is rotatable in one direction for closing the valve to extend the cylinder, and is rotatable in a counter-direction for opening the valve to retract the cylinder. A tubular handle with a T-bar hand grip extends rearward and upwardly from the frame, with the control knob extending from the T-bar hand grip, and connected to a control shaft extending through the tubular handle to the control valve of the cylinder. The control knob automatic return, includes a torsion spring having one end fixed to the control knob and the other end fixed to the tubular handle. The control knob can be rotated in the counter-direction to open the valve; and when the knob is released, the torsion spring automatically forces the knob and shaft to rotate back to the original position to close the valve. | 12-11-2008 |
20080303008 | LIFTING DEVICE WITH SECURELY FASTENED LIFT BRIDGE - A two-position lift bridge is used with a jack-stand power unit including a forward end, a rearward end, a pair of upward side flanges, with the rearward end having a hydraulic cylinder. A rear cover plate extends horizontally from the side flanges and over the cylinder, and has vertical apertures for positioning the lift bridge, and has a threaded vertical aperture for securing the lift bridge. The frame has a pair of parallel lift arms having forward end that are extendable by the cylinder. Each forward end has a leveling pad pivotally attached having an outwardly extended flange, and one having a vertical aperture and a threaded aperture. The lift bridge includes a rectangular plate one side having downward extending corner flanges with horizontal openings for engaging one of the outwardly extended flanges of the leveling pad. The other side of the plate has a pin extending downward for engaging the aperture in the other leveling pad, and includes a vertical aperture that is aligned with the threaded aperture of the leveling pad for receiving a fastener. The lift bridge can be stored on the cover plate and secured with the fastener. The lift bridge can be positioned on the forward ends of the lift arm by placing the corner flanges on the outward flange of one leveling pad, then positioning the downward pin into the aperture in the other leveling pad, and secured with the fastener. | 12-11-2008 |
20080303009 | Mechanism for positioning the handle of a power unit and floor jack - A hydraulic floor jack has a tubular handle with a yoke at the distal end thereof with lateral axels pivotally attached to a pair of vertical side brackets. One side brackets has a series of arcuate upper surfaces concentric with the lateral axel of the yoke, including a large radius forward portion, then a small radius arcuate notch portion, then an intermediate radius rearward portion. The yoke has a barrel aligned radially over the circular upper surfaces of the side bracket, with a plunger therein having an upper end extending above the barrel and a lower end for extending below the barrel and into the arcuate notch portion. A plunger control level has a rectangular distal end that is pivotally attached to the upper end of the plunger. The control lever can position the plunger to fully extended into the arcuate notch portion for fixing the movement of the tubular handle; and can position the plunger to partially extend into the arcuate notch portion for freeing the handle to pump the hydraulic cylinder; and can retract the plunger from the arcuate notch portion for folding the handle over the hydraulic jack. | 12-11-2008 |

20150033638 | GUTTER GUARD APPARATUSES AND METHODS - Gutter guard apparatuses and methods of making the same are provided. A gutter guard apparatus for preventing debris from entering rainwater collection gutters on a structure. A gutter guard apparatus can comprise a guard panel and mesh layer that cooperate to prevent debris from entering a rainwater collection gutter. The mesh layer can be secured to the guard panel at substantially all points of contact between the mesh layer and guard panel to thereby provide a secure and durable gutter guard apparatus. Methods and devices for forming a gutter guard can comprise bonding the mesh layer to a guard panel using a radiant heater, heated roller, adhesive applicator, ultrasonic welder and/or combinations thereof. | 02-05-2015 |

20090110117 | Active clamp circuit for electronic components - An active clamp circuit for electronic components includes two sets of diode connected transistors that are inversely connected in parallel across an output of the component for providing both positive and negative differential conducting paths. The diode connected transistors cooperatively operate to limit a differential output voltage between the positive and negative conducting paths. An emitter follower buffer includes the clamp circuit and is configured to limit RF energy incident to an analog to digital converter (ADC). The emitter follower buffer includes two input transistors having their emitters each connected to at least one diode connected transistor connected to the clamp circuit. A receiver includes the differential amplifier and an analog to digital converter. A method for limiting the energy of analog signals in the receiver includes the step of operating the clamp circuit to limit the analog signals transmitted to the analog to digital converter (ADC). | 04-30-2009 |

20100102888 | TIMING RECOVERY FOR PARTIAL-RESPONSE MAXIMUM LIKELIHOOD SEQUENCE DETECTOR - An embodiment of the present invention is a technique for timing recovery. A frequency acquisition loop locks a voltage controlled oscillator (VCO) clock of a multi-band VCO to a reference clock. The frequency acquisition loop generates first and second feedback clocks from the VCO clock. A data lock phase loop generates a driving signal corresponding to a phase error signal from interleaved partial response signal (PRS) samples based on the second feedback clock. The driving signal controls the multi-band VCO in a data phase lock mode. A lock detect controller detects a frequency lock condition in a frequency lock mode and a data lock condition in the data phase lock mode based on the first feedback clock and the reference clock. | 04-29-2010 |
