20090326471 | ANCHORING SCREW DEVICE - The present invention, the ASD, is a mechanical device for anchoring hollow tube-like structures in the human body, such as blood vessels and ureters. It facilates positioning needles or catheters in blood vessels and it prevents those from dropping out of the vessel or from “wandering off” in the vessel. The ASD can be used in every interventional medical situation for diagnostic or therapeutic purposes. The ASD is very easy to fix onto the vessel wall. Screwing is a fast technique saving operating time and requiring only basic microsurgical skills. The manufacturing is easy. It should be understood that the foregoing is illustrative and nor limiting, and that modifications may be made by those skilled in the art, without departing from the scope of the invention. | 12-31-2009 |

20100010946 | METHOD FOR EVOLVING MOLECULES AND COMPUTER PROGRAM FOR IMPLEMENTING THE SAME - A computer-based method and system of evolving a virtual molecule with a set of desired properties is described that begins with extracting fragments from existing molecules and labeling those fragments. Connectivity rules existing between the fragments in the existing molecules are determined followed by combining these fragments according to the connectivity rules. The molecules generated by the combination are evaluated and some are selected for modification. The evaluation and modification steps are repeated for the selected molecules until either 1) a target evaluation value is achieved or 2) the evaluation step has been performed a predefined number of times. | 01-14-2010 |

20090324941 | METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FLEXIBLE COMPOSITE ELASTOMERIC POLYURETHANE SKIN - The present invention relates to a method for producing a flexible elastomeric composite polyurethane skin comprising a first and a second flexible polyurethane layer obtained by spraying a first and a second polyurethane reaction mixture onto one another. The first reaction mixture is an aliphatic polyurethane reaction mixture which is free of lead and formulated to produce a polyurethane elastomer having a flexural modulus smaller than 35 MPa. The second reaction mixture is an aromatic polyurethane reaction mixture producing a polyurethane elastomer having a smaller flexural modulus. The thickness of the aliphatic polyurethane layer could be made so small with respect to the thickness of the aromatic polyurethane layer that the composite skin has an average flexural modulus smaller than 30 MPa. Notwithstanding the lower reactivity of the aliphatic polyurethane reaction mixture, especially when using a higher NCO-index to reduce the “rubbery feel” and the emission of VOCs and/or a flexibiliser to achieve a higher flexibility, sufficiently short cycle times can be achieved due to the accelerated curing observed when spraying the aromatic polyurethane sufficiently early against the aliphatic polyurethane layer. | 12-31-2009 |

20120219722 | METHOD FOR PRODUCING A FLEXIBLE COMPOSITE ELASTOMERIC POLYURETHANE SKIN - The present invention relates to a method for producing a flexible elastomeric composite polyurethane skin wherein a polyurethane reaction mixture is sprayed onto a mould surface and the polyurethane reaction mixture is allowed to cure to produce the skin layer. The polyurethane reaction mixture is composed of components comprising at least an isocyanate component, isocyanate-reactive components and a catalyst component and the isocyanate component is composed of at least one isocyanate having at least two NCO-groups which are not directly attached to an aromatic group. The catalyst component is substantially free of lead, which leads to a lower flexibility. In accordance with the invention, the flexibility of the polyurethane skin is increased by means of at least one flexibiliser which reduces the flexural modulus of the skin and which comprises at least one isocyanate-reactive group. The flexibiliser is preferably a monofunctional flexibiliser which comprises only one isocyanate-reactive group. | 08-30-2012 |

20100213968 | TESTING INTEGRATED CIRCUITS - A test insert for an integrated circuit according to the present invention comprises access contacts and an electrical path. Furthermore, there may be additional access contacts and a plurality of different electrical paths. The electrical path is comprised of a plurality of tracks, each track provided at a single layer of the integrated circuit and connected to the other tracks by interconnecting vias. The vias provide interlayer contacts and thus allow the tracks to be connected into a single electrical track. In one embodiment, an access contact is connected to ground; another contact is connected to a reference voltage; and connected to various points in the electrical path are transistor-resistor pairs. The transistor-resistor pairs are in connected between earth and a third access contact. If the electrical path is intact at the track connected to a transistor-resistor pair, a current can flow between contact and the respective earth of the transistor-resistor pair. By analysing the current drawn from contact it can be deduced whether the path is operational as a whole and if not, how far along the path a fault lies. This can therefore isolate a particular interconnection between layers or a particular layer as being faulty. | 08-26-2010 |
