20120290952 | ENABLING CHAT SESSIONS - Methods, systems, computer readable media, and apparatuses for enabling chat sessions are presented. In response to detecting that a first user is viewing a first program, a chat invitation may be automatically transmitted to a second user. The chat invitation may identify the first user and the first program, and further may invite the second user to initiate a chat session with the first user. An updated chat invitation may be automatically transmitted in response to detecting that the first user has changed to viewing a second program, and a chat session that has been initiated may subsequently be transferred to another device. Content prioritization settings may be accounted for in transmitting one or more chat invitations, and before a chat invitation is transmitted, it may be determined that a sufficient amount of time has elapsed to suggest that the user will continue viewing the first program. | 11-15-2012 |

20100292966 | Methods of predicting residual stresses and distortion in quenched aluminum castings - Computational systems, methods, and articles of manufacture to predict at least one of residual stresses and distortion in quenched aluminum castings. Residual stresses and distortion may be predicted through incorporating thermal strains induced during quenching with the nonlinear constitutive behavior of quenched microstructures of a quenched aluminum casting, wherein thermal strains arise generally from non-uniform transient temperature distribution of the casting during quenching. The transient temperature distribution of the aluminum casting during quenching may be calculated based on heat transfer coefficients specific to one or more nodes, elements and/or zones on the surfaces of the aluminum casting. The nonlinear constitutive behavior of the quenched aluminum casting may be modeled as functions of temperatures, strain rates, and microstructure variations. A material constitutive model accounts for not only strain hardening and creep, but also precipitate hardening. Thereby, residual stresses and distortion in the quenched aluminum castings can be predicted using the embodiments. | 11-18-2010 |

20150052568 | Dynamic Tuner Allocation - In an embodiment, a first tuner task type is identified from among a plurality of tuner task types, in response to receiving a first tuner request. The first tuner request was made to perform a tuner task of the first tuner task type. A first set of tuner selection rules specifically for the first tuner task type is determined and applied to a set of tuners to determine whether the set of tuners comprises a tuner available to perform the tuner task of the first tuner task type. | 02-19-2015 |

20100198822 | METHODS AND TECHNIQUES FOR ADAPTIVE SEARCH - A method and apparatus for an adaptive search user interface is provided. An interface is provided that returns search results upon receiving each alphanumeric character of a search query term. Correlations of prefixes of alphanumeric characters and search results selected from previous searches are stored in a correlation matrix. Based upon the correlations in the correlation matrix, relevance rankings for search results with respect to the prefixes of alphanumeric characters are updated. Search results may be grouped based upon one or more common traits. Relevance rankings are also updated based upon the rate of change of selections recorded for a search result. | 08-05-2010 |
20100199219 | ADAPTIVE SEARCH RESULT USER INTERFACE - A method and apparatus for an adaptive search user interface is provided. The user interface allows for search results to be customized by the user. The user interface includes a discovery bar of multimedia content that includes additional media content, advertisements, and features that are recommended to users. The discovery bar of multimedia content is customizable based upon user command input. The user interface also includes methods and graphical interface in which to resolve recording conflicts. | 08-05-2010 |

20160042038 | METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR MANAGING ANIMALS - Systems and methods for providing animal information related to at least one animal may sense, with at least one sensor of at least one device on the animal or in the animal's environment, information related to the animal. At least one device processor may automatically transform the sensed information into descriptive information describing a condition of the animal or related to the animal. The at least one device processor and/or at least one remote processor in communication with the at least one device processor may compare the descriptive information to known information relevant to the condition. The at least one device processor and/or at least one mobile device in communication with the at least one device processor may report information about the animal utilizing the descriptive information and the database information. The at least one device processor and/or the at least one remote processor may also generate a personalized recommendation related to the animal using the descriptive information and at least one of the known information and information related to the animal provided by a user. | 02-11-2016 |
