20130050048 | SOLDERLESS CIRCULARLY POLARIZED MICROWAVE ANTENNA ELEMENT - Disclosed herein is an antenna feed design for transmitting or receiving a circularly polarized microwave signal, and a communication device using that antenna feed design. Resonating disks are bowl-shaped to balance E-plane and H-plane magnetic field patterns, decreasing cross-polarization, and providing mechanical rigidity. A non-planar circuit replaces planar microstrip transmission lines for transmitting the signal, with 90° phase shifts, from an input point to excitation points. This non-planar circuit overcomes some of the layout problems encountered in planar circuits. It maintains impedance matching from the input point to the excitation points by progressively tapering down the characteristic transmission line impedance of each successive section. The non-planar circuit has sufficient mechanical strength and rigidity to allow it to be supported at only two anchor points. Similarly, the non-planar disks are also of sufficient strength to require only a single anchor point each. Thus, the antenna parts do not require any additional dielectric substrate support, and all parts are DC grounded. The use of fingers surrounding the ground plane and extending towards the resonating disks results in improved off-boresight polarization. All components of the antenna feed are built and combined without the use of solder or dielectric substrate support, creating a stable, corrosion-resistant, low-cross polarization antenna. | 02-28-2013 |

20110086470 | ADDITIONAL METAL ROUTING IN SEMICONDUCTOR DEVICES - Memory devices, such as DRAM memory devices, may include one or more metal layers above a local interconnect of the DRAM memory that make contact to lower gate regions of the memory device. As the size of semiconductor components decreases and circuit densities increase, the density of the metal routing in these upper metal layers becomes increasingly difficult to fabricate. By providing additional metal routing in the lower gate regions that may be coupled to the upper metal layers, the spacing requirements of the upper metal layers may be eased, while maintaining the size of the semiconductor device. In addition, the additional metal routing formed in the gate regions of the memory devices may be disposed parallel to other metal contacts in a strapping configuration, thus reducing a resistance of the metal contacts, such as buried digit lines of a DRAM memory cell. | 04-14-2011 |

20080318809 | CORRECTION FOR ILLUMINATION NON-UNIFORMITY DURING THE SYNTHESIS OF ARRAYS OF OLIGOMERS - The present invention provides an apparatus and a method for the synthesis of arrays of oligomers that have tight illumination intensity requirement. The apparatus and the method contain a mechanism to correct for illumination non-uniformity during the oligomer array synthesis process. To correct for illumination non-uniformity, the illumination intensity of different oligomer synthesis positions across an area in which oligomers are synthesized are determined first. Then, the differences in illumination intensity among the positions are evaluated mathematically. Next, any non-uniformity in illumination intensity is corrected by either reducing the intensity of the light for the brighter positions before the light reaches the illumination area or reducing the illumination time of the brighter positions during one protection group deprotection period. | 12-25-2008 |

The weapon accessory mounting adapter utilizes the bayonet mounting lug and flash suppressor of the weapon for temporary attachment of the accessories. This configuration allows the retention of weapon ergonomics when the weapon accessory mounting adapter is attached and maintains a low weapon weight when detached. Good ergonomics and low weight are important considerations in regard to effective weapon handling. | 09-08-2011 |

20090177664 | System and Method for Regulatory Rules Repository Generation and Maintenance - A system and method for deriving compliance requirements from statutes, regulations, case law, official interpretations, attorney general opinions, determination and other interpretive letters, administrative agency regulations, and sources prescribing and interpreting compliance requirements for a jurisdiction, preparing compliance rules documentation that reflect these regulatory requirements, creating computer-encoded compliance rules from the compliance rules documentation, and storing these computer-encoded compliance rules in a compliance rules repository within a regulatory compliance computer system. The jurisdiction may be Federal, state or local authority. The regulatory compliance computer system makes use of the computer-encoded compliance rules by extracting compliance review data from a institution's data system and archiving the institution's data file in a compliance review file database, comparing the compliance review file against the applicable computer-encoded compliance rules in the rules repository, and preparing a regulatory compliance results file that captures noncompliant data in the institution's data system. | 07-09-2009 |

20100308515 | APPARATUS AND PROCESS FOR MANUFACTURING A VACUUM MOLDED FIBERGLASS CHIPPER BODY - A process for making a fiberglass chipper body. The process includes first providing a mold having a flange extending around an outside periphery of the mold. Next, the mold is coated with a gel-coat layer. At least one layer of fiberglass is then placed onto the mold over the gel-coat layer. The next step is to place a cover over the mold to completely cover the fiberglass. Breather strips are then inserted around the outside periphery of the mold, a plenum is placed onto the mold flange, and a vacuum is attached to the plenum. Once a resin is injected through the cover into the fiberglass, the fiberglass is cured under vacuum before the fiberglass chipper body is removed from the mold. | 12-09-2010 |

20130262239 | PRIORITIZING POTENTIAL TRANSACTION COUNTER-PARTIES WITH SOCIAL NETWORK CONTENT - A user installs a Peer-to-Peer Payment Application (“PPA”) on their mobile device. The PPA transmits the location of the user device to a server located in a Peer-to-Peer Payment System (“PPS”). The PPS may search for other devices within a certain proximity to the user that may be active. The PPS may search the social network content of the user to determine if any of the proximate devices users are likely counter-parties. If more than one likely counter-party is identified, the PPS may rank the counter-parties according to a preconfigured set of factors that define the strength of the connection to the user. These factors may include their status in the user's social networks, frequency of contact, prior transactions, or other factors that further establish a relationship. The PPS may transmit the ranked list of likely counter-parties to the PPA for display to the user on the device. | 10-03-2013 |
20130332357 | SETTING PEER-TO-PEER AUTHORIZATION LEVELS WITH SOCIAL NETWORK CONTENT - The invention provides a computer-implemented method for using the social networking content of a user to determine authentication levels required for a peer-to-peer transaction. A user inputs transaction counter-party and transaction details into a payment application. The information can be transmitted to a server located in a peer-to-peer payment system. The system may search the social network content of the user to determine the account information of the counter-party and to assess the security risk of the counter-party according to a preconfigured set of factors that define the strength of the connection to the user. These factors may include the counter-party's status in the user's social networks, frequency of contact, prior transactions, or other factors that further establish a relationship. The system may determine the level of transaction authentication required to process the transaction. The user may enter the authentication data to complete the transaction. | 12-12-2013 |
20140095614 | IDENTITY CROWD-SOURCED CURATION - A method includes gathering a plurality of instances of online activity associated with a user, analyzing the plurality of instances of online activity to determine a characteristic that is likely to correspond to a profile attribute of the user and generating a profile enrichment suggestion for the user based on the determined characteristic. | 04-03-2014 |

20080214307 | Method for configuration - A method for configuring an EGM from a remote terminal thereby providing improvements in operational efficiency when configuring EGMs. For example, operational efficiencies are possible by providing direct access to configure an EGM without the technician traveling to the physical machine, which may be miles away. For local EGM's, there will be efficiencies obtained by the number of EGM's configured per hour/per technician. For extremely remote EGM's, there are additional efficiencies by the reduction of travel and lodging expenses for the technician. Additionally, remote configuration of an EGM reduces security overhead. | 09-04-2008 |
