20100089939 | SHEET MATERIAL DISPENSER - A powered dispenser for dispensing individual sheet segments from a continuous roll of sheet material provided with spaced tear lines comprises a powered feed mechanism, a releasable, powered drive mechanism, a powered transfer mechanism, a pair of web sensing sensors, a capacitive sensing system providing automatic sensitivity adjustment, and control circuitry. A dual power supply system provides a mechanical lock-out functionality, and the control system is protected from electrostatic build-up on the surface of the feed roller. The web sensor, and an antenna plate of the capacitive sensing system, are provided on respective printed circuit boards mounted in overlying relation. Utilizing signals received from the pair of web sensors and the capacitive sensing system, the control circuitry senses the presence of a user to activate the powered drive mechanism, and prevents further dispensing of the sheet material until a previously dispensed segment is separated from the roll. The web sensors detection of a leading edge of the sheet material initiates a predetermined interval of sheet material advancement providing a proper placement of successive tear lines. Various approaches may be utilized to accommodate inadvertent sheet “tabbing” scenarios. The web sensors, together with the control circuitry, are also used to detect the depletion, or absence, of a working roll of sheet material, whereupon the control circuitry controls the powered transfer mechanism to automatically transfer the web feed supply from a depleted working roll to a reserve roll. The powered transfer mechanism may include a motor driven transfer bar, or provide motor driven release of a spring biased transfer bar. Another arrangement allows for ready release of a roll core, and drop of the same into an open dispenser cover for removal. | 04-15-2010 |

20100094417 | Dual Hook Laryngeal Cable Prosthesis (DHLCP) used to correct airflow in the larynx of horses affected with left recurrent laryngeal neuropathy - In a horse with left recurrent laryngeal neuropathy, abduction of the arytenoid cartilage on the affected side of the larynx cannot be achieved, causing progressive collapse of the arytenoid cartilage and vocal cord into the airway as negative inspiratory pressure increases. This produces airflow limitations that result in more rapid development of hypoxemia, hypercarbia, and metabolic acidosis, causing early fatigue and poor performance. Horses with left recurrent laryngeal neuropathy have a history of upper airway obstruction during exercise, including abnormal inspiratory respiratory noise and exercise intolerance. This noise is the result of air turbulence created as air passes over the affected vocal cord and ventricle, which acts as resonators. The DHLCP caudal and cranial device's are placed between the cricoid and the arytenoid cartilages and will permanently abduct the affected arytenoid cartilage. Once abducted sufficiently, it will provide unobstructed respiration during exercise, but not so much that saliva, food, and water are aspirated during swallowing. | 04-15-2010 |

20090035176 | Method and Device for Purifying Ambient Air and Surfaces - Described is an air and surface purifying device having a purifying cell structured for maximizing the realized photocatalytic reaction at a photocatalytic surface without using an additional ultraviolet bulb. The purifying cell positions at least three photocatalytic surfaces about a single ultraviolet bulb such that the photocatalytic surfaces substantially encompass the ultraviolet bulb and are saturated by ultraviolet light radiating from the ultraviolet bulb. Because the photocatalytic surfaces are saturated, the potential photocatalytic reaction at the photocatalytic surfaces is fully realized. Stated differently, the realized photocatalytic reaction is maximized. Because the purifying cell maximizes the realized photocatalytic reaction, the purifying cell maximizes the purifying capacity of the photocatalytic surface and, thus, the purifying cell itself. | 02-05-2009 |

20110296680 | VENT BLOCKING ON VENTED BALL GRID ARRAYS TO PROVIDE A CLEANER SOLUTION BARRIER - A vented BGA package is reconfigured by first applying a continuous bead of adhesive around the perimeter of the package to seal the gap between the lid and substrate. The continuous bead defines a channel through the pressure relief vents to a polarity through-hole in the lid. The BGA package is reflow soldered to a PWB at an elevated temperature using solder flux, clean or no-clean. The IC die achieves elevated temperature pressure relief through the pressure relief vents along the channel and out the polarity through-hole. After reflow a seal is applied to plug the polarity through-hole. The PWB is washed in an aqueous cleaner solution to remove flux residue. The continuous bead of adhesive and the seal form a cleaner solution barrier that prevents the solution from contacting conductors inside the package. The seal may be removed or left intact depending on the operating environment. | 12-08-2011 |

The first node detects the time period based on the header and deactivates the connection, in response. In another aspect, information is received by a second node for detecting an idle TCP connection. The second node creates a packet including a header based on the information. The second node sends the packet in the connection to a first node for detecting a time period during which the first node receives no data in a data stream sent in the connection from the second node. | 09-01-2011 |
