20130266078 | METHOD AND DEVICE FOR CORRELATION CHANNEL ESTIMATION - A hash-based distributed video coding architecture has an encoder with an input video sequence organized in Groups of Pictures (GOPs) decomposed into key frames using H264/AVC Intra frame coding. The Wyner-Ziv (WZ) frames are encoded in two parts, a hash layer and a WZ layer. The WZ frames are quantized and each and then decorrelated using spatio-temporal prediction and entropy coded. The intra bit stream is H264/AVC decoded and the intra frames are stored in a reference frame buffer. The hash is decoded by inverting the tasks applied at the encoder, and the obtained bit planes are stored. Overlapped Block Motion Estimation and Probalistic Compensation (OBMEPC) is used to estimate the missing bit planes in the side-information. The decoder utilizes the hash information and the side information frame created by OBMEPC to perform online estimation of the correlation channel, and produces soft estimates used to decode the WZ bit planes. | 10-10-2013 |

20100028493 | NUCLEOTIDE PYROPHOSPHATASE INHIBITOR AND COENZYME REGENERATING SYSTEMS - The present invention is related to a method for inhibiting nicotinamide coenzyme degradation in a cereal flour or wheat based product, comprising the addition of an effective amount of nucleotide pyrophosphatase inhibitor to said cereal flour based product, product such as a wheat based product. A further aspect of the present invention is a nucleotide pyrophosphatase having an amino acid N-terminal sequence being (G)IDDRHEVDLPPRP. In another aspect of the present invention, a dough comprising a nucleotide pyrophosphatase inhibitor such as pyrophosphate, and optionally a coenzyme regeneration system comprising at least one NAD(P) or NAD(P)H dependent hydrogenase or dehydrogenase is disclosed. Preferably the coenzyme regeneration system comprises (consists of) mannitol dehydrogenase and D-fructose. | 02-04-2010 |
20130122553 | METABOLICALLY ENGINEERED ORGANISMS FOR THE PRODUCTION OF ADDED VALUE BIO-PRODUCTS - The present invention relates to genetically engineered organisms, especially microorganisms such as bacteria and yeasts, for the production of added value bio-products such as specialty saccharide, activated saccharide, nucleoside, glycoside, glycolipid or glycoprotein. More specifically, the present invention relates to host cells that are metabolically engineered so that they can produce said valuable specialty products in large quantities and at a high rate by bypassing classical technical problems that occur in biocatalytical or fermentative production processes. | 05-16-2013 |
20140349348 | Mutant microorganisms to synthesize colanic acid, mannosylated and/or fucosylated oligosaccharides - The present invention relates to mutated and/or transformed microorganisms for the synthesis of various compounds. More specifically, the present invention discloses microorganisms mutated in the genes encoding for the regulators ArcA and IclR. The latter mutations result in a significant upregulation of the genes that are part of the colanic acid operon. Hence, said microorganisms are useful for the synthesis of any compound being part of the colanic acid pathway such as GDP-fucose, GDP-mannose and colanic acid, and/or, can be further used—starting form GDP-fucose as a precursor—to synthesize fucosylated oligosaccharides or—starting from GDP-mannose as a precursor—to synthesize mannosylated oligosaccharides. In addition, mutations in the genes coding for the transcriptional regulators ArcA and IclR lead to an acid resistance phenotype in the exponential growth phase allowing the synthesis of pH sensitive molecules or organic acids. | 11-27-2014 |

20120086645 | EYE TYPING SYSTEM USING A THREE-LAYER USER INTERFACE - A specially-configured interactive user interface for use in eye typing takes the form of a three-layer arrangement that allows for controlling computer input with eye gazes. The three-layer arrangement includes an outer, rectangular ring of letters, displayed clockwise in alphabetical order (forming the first layer). A group of “frequently-used words” associated with the letters being typed forms an inner ring (and is defined as the second layer). This second layer of words is constantly updated as the user continues to enter text. The third layer is a central “open” portion of the interface and forms the typing space—the “text box” that will be filled as the user continues to type. A separate row of control/function keys (including mode-switching for upper case vs. lower case, numbers and punctuation) is positioned adjacent to the three-layer on-screen keyboard display. | 04-12-2012 |

20100305388 | Apparatus for Transporting and Positioning a Capsule in which a Radioactive Source is Present - An apparatus is described for transporting and positioning a capsule, in which a radioactive source is present, from a screened safe into an applicator to be temporarily placed in the body of the patient. The apparatus is provided with a safe for storing at least one capsule and with a larger number of applicators, which can be connected, via transport tubes, to passages in a switch-connecting plate, wherein the capsules, or a dummy instead of one of the capsules, can each, via their own tube and switch, independently of one another, be introduced into a transport tube selected by the respective switch and can be displaced therein independently of one another in a manner programmable with regard to location and residence time, by a transport wire slidable via a drive motor. | 12-02-2010 |
