20150312276 | WHITE LISTS - A computer has an operating system having a kernel. The operating system is configured to prevent running of software not identified in a list of approved software referred to as a white list. The computer is linked by a communications link to a server which has a comparison program which compares the identities of software present on the computer with software identified in the list to determine what software installed on the computer is not on the white list. A risk determination program determines for each software not on the list whether the software complies with a plurality of risk criteria, and automatically adds to the list the identity of any software determined to be of low risk according to a risk calculation. The list is supplied to the computer. Software absent from the list is prevented from running by the kernel of the operating system. | 10-29-2015 |

20110053731 | Arrangements for Driving and Steering of Motor Vehicles - A transmission arrangement for an engine driven vehicle having two continuously variable transmissions serving to drive left and right hand vehicle wheels at separately variable drive ratios. Each transmission incorporates a variator of the type in which a net torque applied to the variator through its input and output is referred to a ratio control part, which may be formed as a control lever, whose position governs the transmission's drive ratio. The control parts of the variators are each operatively coupled to a driver's speed control, such that the speed control determines a mean position of the two control parts. However they are both also able to move relative to the mean position, under the influence of the torque they react. Additionally the control parts are coupled to each other such that any displacement of one control part from the mean position is accompanied by an opposite displacement of the other control part. In this way the transmissions are enabled to the relative speeds of the driven vehicle wheels automatically to reduce or even eliminate wheel slip, whilst still providing the driver with control over overall vehicle speed. | 03-03-2011 |

20090173067 | HYDRAULIC CONTROL VALVE SYSTEM WITH ISOLATED PRESSURE COMPENSATION - A hydraulic valve assembly includes a pressure compensating valve in which a compensator spool is slideably received in a bore. A pre-compensator gallery connected to a metering orifice, a preload gallery leading to a hydraulic actuator, an auxiliary pump supply passage, and a load sense passage all open into the bore. The compensator spool moves in response to a pressure differential between the pre-compensator gallery and the load sense passage. That movement selectively opens and closes a first path between the pre-compensator gallery and the a preload gallery, and a second path between the auxiliary supply passage and the load sense passage. Control of these paths maintains a constant pressure drop across the metering orifice and generates a pressure signal that is employed to regulate pressure at an outlet of a pump. | 07-09-2009 |

20150151684 | VEHICLE ACCESS APPARATUS AND A METHOD THEREOF - There is provided an access apparatus having a deployable step that is biased to move towards a stowed position, wherein in the stowed position, the deployable step restricts opening of a vehicle's door. Abutment of a portion of the vehicle's door controls movement of the deployable step. Wherein, when said vehicle door is closed, the deployable step is arranged in a stowed position and when said vehicle door is fully open, the deployable step is arranged in the deployed position to provide a step. Here, when in the deployed position, abutment of the portion of the vehicle's door with the deployable step, prevents the deployable step from moving towards the stowed position. Consequently, and because the deployable step is biased to move towards the stowed position, the deployable step is automatically opened and closed upon opening and closing of the door. Moreover, the automatic opening and closing relies on a simple mechanical relationship, which reduces the chance of a malfunction and allows the access apparatus to be more easily retrofitted. | 06-04-2015 |
