20090264170 | Device and Method for Stripping Leaves from Herbs and Plants - The present invention provides a device and method for stripping leaves from the stems of herbs and plants and a method of stripping leaves using the device. The device includes a container that supports a lower plate carrying a number of closely spaced flexible tines. An upper plate is pivotally attached to the lower plate and is movable toward and away from the tines. A scalper blade, that is attached to the upper plate at an angle, moves with the upper plate such that when the upper plate engages the tines the scalper blade is spaced below the tines, and when the upper plate is spaced above the tines the scalper blade is adjacent the tines. The method of stripping leaves from the stems of plants with the device is practiced by pivoting the upper plate away from the tines and placing the plants so that the leaves are on one side of the tines, and the stems extend between the tines. The upper plate is then pivoted back so it engages the tines and the stems are pulled back away from the tines, thus lodging the leaves between the tines and stripping them from the stems. The upper plate is then raised which causes the scalper blade to move up and dislodge the stripped leaves that then fall into the container. | 10-22-2009 |

20120312077 | Dual Mode Water Leak Detector - A dual mode water leak detector is combined with a HIVAR air condition system or unit. The air conditioning unit or system uses chilled water for cooling or hot water or electric coils for heating and employs means for supplying heated or cooled air into a floor void and channeling return air to designated vents under the floor or through a false ceiling. In addition a water sensor includes an enclosed housing having a bottom or base and four electrical contacts extending through the base and positioned above the floor by about 2 mm by four rubber spacers or feet. In addition a first circuit connects a first and a second contact separated from one another by an airspace to a pair of banana clips for turning the HIVAR system off when water between the first and second contacts is completed due to the presence of water. A second circuit includes a switch and a 60K OHM resistor connecting that circuit to a first of the contacts and second of the contacts when the switch is in a closed position. | 12-13-2012 |

20090199057 | March DSS: Memory Diagnostic Test - Diagnostic march tests are powerful tests that are capable of detecting, identifying and locating faults in memories. While March SS was published for detecting simple static faults, no test has been published for identifying all faults and locating their involved memory cells. In this report, we target all published simple static faults. We identify faults that can not be distinguished due to their analogous behavior, and we provide a new 46n diagnostic test for the rest named March DSS. March DSS is the first test that is capable of identifying all distinguishable march test and yet has a lower time complexity. | 08-06-2009 |
