20100148935 | DUPLICATION DETECTION FOR NON-CRYPTOGRAPHIC RFID TAGS USING ENCRYPTED TRACEABILITY INFORMATION - A duplication detection module may be configured to determine if data on a RFID tag is encoded. If the data on the RFID tag is not encoded, the duplication detection module may determine that the RFID tag is a duplicate RFID tag and that an item associated with the duplicate RFID tag is counterfeit. If the data on the RFID tag is encoded, the duplication detection module may cause the decoder to decode the data on the RFID tag using a private key of a receiving party as a decoding parameter. The module may check for an item identifier and a sender identifier as a part of the encoded data, determine whether the item identifier has previously been read to determine if the RFID tag was duplicated during transport and compare the sender identifier with an expected sender identifier to determine if the RFID tag was duplicated during transport. | 06-17-2010 |
20120010914 | Dynamic, Privacy-aware Workforce Assignment - In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a first activity map. A first mobile client determines first positioning information based on a first position of the first mobile client. The first mobile client generates a second activity map using the first positioning information of the first mobile client as a damping factor for activity in the first activity map. The first mobile client sends the second activity map to a balancing manager. A third activity map is received from the balancing manager. The third activity map is based on the second activity map from the first mobile client and a second activity map from a second mobile client. The second activity map from the second mobile client is generated using second positioning information for a second position of the second mobile client as the damping factor. | 01-12-2012 |

20090194735 | Rapid Dilution of Peracid Solutions to Equilibrated Solutions - A method for the rapid dilution of an aqueous peracid solution, particularly, peracetic acid, in which a concentrated peracid solution is diluted with an aqueous diluent to produce a more dilute peracid solution in which the solution components are already at equilibrium immediately after dilution. The peracid in a preferred embodiment of this method is peracetic acid, for which the aqueous diluent is acetic acid and water, or hydrogen peroxide and water, or acetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and water, whose relative amounts are selected to produce a diluted aqueous peracid acid solution whose peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and acetic acid components are in equilibrium immediately after dilution. | 08-06-2009 |
20100021558 | Dilute Aqueous Peracid Solutions and Stabilization Method - A method for stabilizing a dilute peracetic acid solution containing less than about 5 wt % peracetic acid by controlling the concentration of hydrogen peroxide and the mole ratio of hydrogen peroxide to acetic acid and by introducing a stabilizer to provide sequestering activity. The method is particularly useful for the long-term stabilization of dilute peracetic acid solutions. Stabilized dilute peracetic acid solutions are also within the scope of this invention. | 01-28-2010 |

20090063889 | ALIGNING DATA ON PARALLEL TRANSMISSION LINES - The lane skew alignment device of the present invention facilitates the use of the SFI-5 standard interface in an FPGA without the need to rely on feedback signals from a remote device. The delay between lanes is determined using a D-Flip Flop or other type of phase comparator. To minimize the components needed to physically implement the solution a cross-point switch is used to select one of the parallel lanes at a time to be compared to a reference lane, over which the same test signal is transmitted. | 03-05-2009 |

20150160626 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO AUTOMATICALLY ADJUST WINDOW COVERINGS - An electronic window covering control system automatically controls the position and orientation of a window covering. A window covering controller interfaces with a light intensity sensor, a temperature sensor, and an electronic window covering configured to raise and lower the covering and tilt the slats. The window covering controller sends sensor data to a local receiver and receives window covering commands from the local receiver. The local receiver interfaces with a hub device through a mesh network and sends the sensor data to the hub. The hub applies a rule set to make operation decisions based on sensor data and user preferences, and sends messages comprising commands to operate the window covering through the mesh network to the local receiver. The local receiver decodes the messages and passes the window covering commands to the window covering controller to automatically control the electronic window covering. | 06-11-2015 |
20150161884 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS TO CONTROL WINDOW COVERINGS USING POWERLINE AND RADIO FREQUENCY COMMUNICATIONS - An electronic window covering control system automatically controls raising, lowering, and rotating a window covering of a window. A window covering controller interfaces with an electronic window covering, sends messages including sensor data to a local receiver, and receives messages including window covering commands from the local receiver. In turn, the local receiver interfaces with a hub device through a mesh network. The hub receives the sensor data, applies a rule set to make window covering operation decisions, and sends messages, which may comprise commands to operate the window covering, through the mesh network to the local receiver. The local receiver decodes the messages and passes the window covering commands to the window covering controller to automatically control the electronic window covering. | 06-11-2015 |

20150338348 | ULTRASENSITIVE SERS FLOW DETECTOR - The invention provides an apparatus and methods for label-free, chemical specific detection in flow for high throughput characterization of analytes in applications such as flow injection analysis, electrophoresis, and chromatography. A surface-enhanced Raman scattering (SERS) flow detector capable of ultrasensitive optical detection on the millisecond time scale has been developed. The device employs hydrodynamic focusing to improve SERS detection in a flow channel where a sheath flow confines analyte molecules eluted from a capillary over a planar SERS-active substrate. Increased analyte interactions with the SERS substrate significantly improve detection sensitivity. Raman experiments at different sheath flow rates showed increased sensitivity compared with the modeling predictions, indicating increased adsorption. At low analyte concentrations, rapid analyte desorption is observed, enabling repeated and high-throughput SERS detection. The flow detector offers substantial advantages over conventional SERS-based assays such as minimal sample volumes and high detection efficiency. | 11-26-2015 |
