20090079008 | CMOS Fabrication Process - Ultra high temperature (UHT) anneals above 1200 C for less than 100 milliseconds for PMOS transistors reduce end of range dislocations, but are incompatible with stress memorization technique (SMT) layers used to enhance NMOS on-state current. 20090127620 | SEMICONDUCTOR DOPING WITH REDUCED GATE EDGE DIODE LEAKAGE - Semiconductor doping techniques, along with related methods and structures, are disclosed that produce components having a more tightly controlled source and drain extension region dopant profiles without significantly inducing gate edge diode leakage. The technique follows the discovery that carbon, which may be used as a diffusion suppressant for dopants such as boron, may produce a gate edge diode leakage if present in significant quantities in the source and drain extension regions. As an alternative to placing carbon in the source and drain extension regions, carbon may be placed in the source and drain regions, and the thermal anneal used to activate the dopant may be relied upon to diffuse a small concentration of the carbon into the source and drain extension regions, thereby suppressing dopant diffusion in these regions without significantly inducing gate edge diode leakage. The increased concentration of carbon in the source and drain regions may permit heavier doping of the source/drain region, leading to improved gate capacitance. | 05-21-2009 |

20080241862 | PROPIONYL AND BUTYRYL LYSINE MODIFICATIONS IN PROTEINS - While the identification of acetylated lysine residues on proteins is well-known, the modification of lysine residues through propionylation and butyrylation is not very well understood. A method for the identification and mapping of propionylated and butyrylated lysine residues has been developed. Anti-acetyllysine antibody, normally used to affinity purify a protein mixture based on the presence of acetylated lysine, can also be used to affinity purity proteins having propionylated and butyrylated lysine residues due to the structural similarity. The method involves searching protein databases to locate mass spectrometry datasets for those proteins purified by anti-acetyllysine antibody. The located spectra are manually reviewed to identify those peptides having propionyllysine and butyryllysine residues. These identified peptides are synthesized, with the lysine modifications added at the appropriate positions. The synthesized proteins are then analyzed with mass spectrometry and the resultant spectra are compared to those located in the protein databases to confirm the location of the lysine modifications. | 10-02-2008 |

20120263651 | Single Stranded DNA Aptamers Binding NF-kB/RelA - DNA aptamers are high affinity ligands selected by genetic enrichment techniques to bind to specific protein targets. Because these represent chemically stable and reproducible molecules, they have application as affinity reagents and/or therapeutic drugs to affect the target protein's actions. NF-kB is an important mediator of the innate immune response and mediator of tissue inflammation. Although RNA and double stranded DNA aptamers have been identified to bind to the NF-kB family of proteins, the present invention represents the first identification of single stranded DNA aptamers that recognize NFkB RelA. The aptamers disclosed herein bind to several distinct regions of RelA and may be useful to antagonize the DNA binding of RelA as an inhibitor of cellular inflammation, visualize the location or amount of RelA in tissues from pathological conditions, or to quantitatively measure the activated state of RelA by affinity binding. | 10-18-2012 |

20130151822 | Efficient Enqueuing of Values in SIMD Engines with Permute Unit - Mechanisms, in a data processing system having a processor, for generating enqueued data for performing computations of a conditional branch of code are provided. Mask generation logic of the processor operates to generate a mask representing a subset of iterations of a loop of the code that results in a condition of the conditional branch being satisfied. The mask is used to select data elements from an input data element vector register corresponding to the subset of iterations of the loop of the code that result in the condition of the conditional branch being satisfied. Furthermore, the selected data elements are used to perform computations of the conditional branch of code. Iterations of the loop of the code that do not result in the condition of the conditional branch being satisfied are not used as a basis for performing computations of the conditional branch of code. | 06-13-2013 |
