20100163495 | System and method for filtration of liquids - The present invention relates to a system and a process of running the system that allows for the long term filtration of product without loss of filtration capability due to clogging or fouling. The system is a normal flow filtration system having one or more filter cartridges attached to an outlet of a housing in the system. The filter cartridge(s) are contained within a bowl and depend preferably vertically from the outlet. Liquid enters the bowl of the housing and contacts the outer surfaces of the one or more cartridges. Impurities are trapped on or in the surface of the filter and the filtered liquid flows through the filter and through the outlet. One or more parameters such as flow rate, transmembrane pressure drop and/or time are measured and when the desired parameter(s) are met, the filtration ceases. A backflushing occurs back through the filter cartridges so as to remove the trapped impurities on or in the filter surface. This backwashed material is directed to an outlet of the bowl that is connected to a drain. Additionally a port formed in the side of the housing adjacent an outer surface of the cartridge(s) can be used to provide a lateral washing of the filter surfaces. The system is then recirculated in a downstream manner to reestablish equilibrium and filtration is the restarted. | 07-01-2010 |

20100038453 | AIRBRUSH - An airbrush apparatus for use in generating a design on a desired object is disclosed. The apparatus and method of use are disclosed wherein the airbrush apparatus comprises a housing, boom, and sprayer head. A fluid to be applied is contained in individual cartridges and is drawn out by a vacuum effect caused by air that is being pumped from the housing across a feed tube which is in fluid communication with the cartridge. | 02-18-2010 |
20140270900 | Roller Ball Pen For Use With Metallic Inks - A roller ball pen for use with metallic inks, and a method for assembling the roller ball pen for use with metallic inks, is described herein. The pen body includes a housing that encloses a reservoir, a collet, a feed rod, and a tip. The feed rod transfers ink from the reservoir to a roller ball tip at a tapered end of the pen housing. In embodiments, the feed rod is embedded at a threshold distance inside the reservoir to provide an increased surface area for transfer of a metallic ink suspension. In further embodiments, a method of assembling the roller ball pen includes saturation of the reservoir with a metallic ink based on inserting a particular injection needle at a particular depth inside the reservoir. | 09-18-2014 |
20140272096 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REVEALING A HIDDEN ELEMENT - Kits and methods are provided for revealing a hidden element of an article. The article has printing thereon using a combination of visible ink materials and colorless ink materials. An activating solution is applied to a body part using an applicator. The body part is then contacted with the article. The activating solution causes the colorless ink materials to become visible thereby revealing a portion of the hidden element. The portion of the hidden element is revealed in a shape corresponding to the body part. | 09-18-2014 |
20150047522 | Stamp-Making Methods and Devices - Methods and devices for making a handheld stamp are provided. In one aspect, a stamp image is applied to a photosensitive and/or photo-reactive stamp surface that, when exposed to light having a particular wavelength for a particular amount of time, produces a handheld stamp. The photosensitive stamp surface may be a photosensitive foam, a photosensitive gel, and the like. In another embodiment, a rub-on transfer image is applied to a surface of a porous plastic sheet, where the applied rub-on transfer image prohibits the flow of ink through portions of the porous plastic sheet. In another embodiment, a transparency masks a portion of a photosensitive transfer material during light treatment to produce a stamp mask. The stamp mask is then applied to a porous plastic stamping material to produce a handheld stamp. | 02-19-2015 |
20150158325 | SPECIAL-EFFECTS SURFACES - A special-effects treatment is provided that is applied to a substrate to create a special-effects surface. In embodiments, the special-effects surface includes a washable chalkboard treatment applied to a substrate to provide a washable chalkboard surface. A chalk marking on the washable chalkboard surface may be removed using water. In a further embodiment, the special-effects treatment includes a high-intensity treatment applied to a substrate to provide a high-intensity surface. The high-intensity surface maintains a marking in close proximity to the surface to provide a brighter and/or bolder appearance compared to a marking on a non-treated surface. | 06-11-2015 |

20090150456 | METHODS, SYSTEMS, AND COMPUTER PROGRAM PRODUCTS FOR DISASTER RECOVERY PLANNING - Formulating an integrated disaster recovery (DR) plan based upon a plurality of DR requirements for an application by receiving a first set of inputs identifying one or more entity types for which the plan is to be formulated, such as an enterprise, one or more sites of the enterprise, the application, or a particular data type for the application. At least one data container representing a subset of data for an application is identified. A second set of inputs is received identifying at least one disaster type for which the plan is to be formulated. A third set of inputs is received identifying a DR requirement for the application as a category of DR Quality of Service (QoS) class to be applied to the disaster type. A composition model is generated specifying one or more respective DR QoS parameters as a function of a corresponding set of one or more QoS parameters representative of a replication technology solution. The replication technology solution encompasses a plurality of storage stack levels. A solution template library is generated for mapping the application to each of a plurality of candidate replication technology solutions. The template library is used to select a DR plan in the form of a replication technology solution for the application. | 06-11-2009 |
