20090001809 | TENSION MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR AN ENDLESS TRACK OF A WORK MACHINE - A tension management system for generating tension in an endless track of a tracked work machine. The tension management system comprises a biasing element, an idler wheel, a swing link, an idler arm, and a pivotal bracket linking the biasing element with the idler arm. The biasing element generates force that is translated via the biasing arm to the pivotal bracket. The pivotal bracket provides a mechanical advantage in the translation of the force that enables the force exerted upon the swing link to be greater than the force generated by the biasing element. The idler arm connects the pivotal bracket to the swing link and exerts force on the swing link causing it to pivot. The idler wheel is mounted on the swing link and exerts force, generating tension, in the endless track as the swing link pivots. The tension management system enables a greater force to be exerted on the swing link than is generated by the biasing element, allowing for the use of smaller biasing elements than previously possible in conventional designs. | 01-01-2009 |

Lock arms pivot downward so that bar members on the lock arms overlie top edges of the refuse container. The carriage is retracted and the lift mechanism is raised on the carriage so that the refuse container can be upended over the load opening of the collection body. The bars on the lock arms angle upwardly to allow plastic lids hinged to the refuse container to swing past the bars when the container is upended, while restraining the container from falling into the collection body. | 01-24-2013 |
20130034412 | LOAD LEVELING MODIFICATION FOR FRONT LOADING REFUSE TRUCK - A modification apparatus to convert an existing front loading refuse collection truck so that the lifted container remains level until the container is near the load opening of the refuse collection body of the truck. A mounting plate is bolted to brackets added to an existing refuse collection body and provides multiple connection points for attachment of one end of a slave cylinder that is hinged at its other end to one of the main lift arms of the collection body. As the rod of the slave cylinder extends or retracts with the movement of the lift arm, hydraulic fluid from the slave cylinder passes to fork cylinders which retract or extend to control the orientation of the lifted container relative to the lift arms. The apparatus can be easily added to a variety of existing front loading collection bodies. | 02-07-2013 |
