20090095018 | METHOD FOR LIQUEFYING A HYDROCARBON STREAM - A hydrocarbon stream is liquefied in a method wherein a feed stream is provided, from which feed stream a first stream and a second stream are produced. The first stream is liquefied in a main liquefaction system to provide a first liquefied stream, while the second stream is cooled separately to provide a cooled second stream. The first liquefied stream is combined with the cooled second stream to produce a combined stream, which is separated in a gas/liquid separator into a liquefied hydrocarbon product stream and a gaseous stream. The gaseous stream is warmed to a temperature of above −40° C. by heat exchanging against any other stream used in the method, wherein the warming of the gaseous stream employs at least heat exchanging against the second stream to provide at least part of the cooling of the second stream. | 04-16-2009 |
20090277218 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR LIQUEFYING A NATURAL GAS STREAM - The present invention relates to a method of liquefying a hydrocarbon stream such as a natural gas stream, the method at least comprising the steps of: supplying a partly condensed hydrocarbon feed stream ( | 11-12-2009 |
20090301131 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR TREATING A HYDROCARBON STREAM - A method of treating a hydrocarbon stream such as natural gas from a feed stream ( | 12-10-2009 |

20100272325 | Method for Transforming a Feature Vector - The present invention relates to a method for transforming a feature vector comprising a first and a second feature represented by a first and a second feature value, respectively, into a feature code using an encoder, said feature code usable in an algorithm and having a predetermined number of bits, said method comprising the steps of determining for each of the first and the second features the performance as a function of the length of the feature code, and using the dependency between the performance and the feature code length for each of the individual features derived in the step of determining to find feature code lengths for the first and the second features in such a way that the sum of the bit length of the first and the second feature codes has a length equaling said predetermined bit length. An advantage with the present invention is that it solves the problem in the case of template protection systems which only accept binary templates and where the resulting classification quality of the biometric system to a very large extend depends on the quality of the binary strings. Another advantage with the present invention is that it also solves the problem of matching time in an identification setting because binary strings can easily be compared. The present invention also relates to a similar arrangement for transforming a feature vector into a feature code. | 10-28-2010 |

20100134246 | Apparatuses, System and Method for Authentication - It is presented a method for authenticating a candidate individual, comprising the steps of: obtaining candidate biometric data related to the candidate individual; obtaining a first data item related to first reference biometric data from a data carrier, wherein any significant part of the first reference biometric data is not readily available from the first data item; obtaining a second data item related to the first reference biometric data from digital storage, wherein any significant part of the first reference biometric data is not readily available from the second data item; working out a second reference biometric data using the first data item and the second data item; and authenticating the candidate individual (101′) when the candidate biometric data is determined to correspond to the first reference biometric data using the second reference biometric data and the candidate biometric data. Corresponding authentication apparatus, data carrier issuing apparatus and ticket are also presented | 06-03-2010 |
