20080211734 | Combined Single/Multiple View-Display - The present invention relates to a display device comprising an outer display stacked with an inner display and being arranged to be operable in a first, multiple view mode and a second, single view mode. An idea of the invention is to arrange an electrophoretic display on top of an emissive display. The display device may be operated in two modes; a first mode being a multiple or dual view mode and a second mode being a single view mode. In order to activate the single view mode, the outer display is set in a transparent state and the inner display is turned on, such that it displays desired objects. In the multiple view mode, the outer display is functioning as a 3D-barrier. Hence, some of the picture elements of the outer display are set in a transparent state while others are set in an opaque state. The viewer sees a different picture with each respective eye, and will accordingly experience a multiple view picture of an object that is displayed on the inner display. | 09-04-2008 |

20080266387 | Autostereoscopic Display Device - A switchable autostereoscopic display device comprises a display panel having an array of display pixels for producing a display, the display pixels being arranged in rows and columns; and an imaging arrangement for directing the output from different pixels to different spatial positions to enable a stereoscopic image to be viewed. The imaging arrangement is electrically switchable between at least three modes comprising a 2D mode and two 3D modes. The imaging arrangement comprises an electrically configurable graded index lens array. The display can be switched between a number of modes to enable the display to be adapted or to adapt itself to the image content to be displayed and/or the display device orientation. | 10-30-2008 |
20080283731 | Position Detection of an Electromagnetic Beam Projection - The invention relates to the detection of the position of a projection of an electromagnetic beam on a surface such as a laser pointer projection on a display screen. It is suggested to measure intensities of the electromagnetic radiation from the beam projection at three or more different positions at the borders of the surface and to process the measured intensities for determining the centre position of the electromagnetic beam projection on the surface. The intensities may be measured applying only a few low cost receivers. Thus, no optical add-ons or expensive position detection means with a plurality of photodiodes are required | 11-20-2008 |

20090027384 | Method of Identifying Pattern in a Series of Data - In a method and device for generating and/or displaying 3D images the depth of content (d) of an image or a part of an image is temporarily increased to a high level (h) where after the depth of content is decreased to a low level ( | 01-29-2009 |
20090213568 | MULTI VIEW DISPLAY DEVICE - A multi view display comprising a light emitting element having an optical cavity formed by a first and a second reflecting layer, at least said second reflecting layer being semi-transparent, and a light emitting layer arranged between said reflecting layers, wherein said optical cavity is designed so that light emitted in at least two preferred viewing directions has a higher intensity than light emitted in other directions. The invention is based on interference phenomena in the optical cavity, making it possible to realize a light emitting element that intrinsically emits more light in the preferential viewing directions than in other directions. This emission profile makes the light emitting element very useful in a multi view display, reducing the problems of cross talk. | 08-27-2009 |

20090002484 | Method and Apparatus for Correcting Misalignment of a Lenticular in a 3-D Television Receiver - A projection television receiver is given 3-dimensional functionality by mounting a lenticular array of substantially vertically arranged cylindrical lenses in front of the display screen. The position of this lenticular array is critical to the performance of the 3-D functionality. In order to correct for misalignment, the lenticular array is equipped with a photo-sensor on the side facing the display. The display is then controlled to selectively energize the pixels such that the actual position of the lenticular array can be determined. The displayed image is then shifted based on the measurement such that the user will see an optimal 3-D image quality. | 01-01-2009 |
