20150297377 | STENT - A stent comprises a plurality of undulating circumferential portions, each circumferential portion comprising alternating peaks and valleys; and a plurality of longitudinally extending portions connecting the plurality of undulating circumferential portions. Each of the plurality of longitudinally extending portions contains a first longitudinally extending strut and a second longitudinally extending strut circumferentially offset with respect to the first longitudinally extending strut. The first longitudinally extending strut and the second longitudinally extending strut are interconnected by a connecting portion. Circumferentially adjacent first longitudinally extending struts in a pair of circumferentially adjacent longitudinally extending portions are circumferentially spaced at a first distance and circumferentially adjacent second longitudinally extending struts in the pair of circumferentially adjacent longitudinally extending portions are circumferentially spaced at a second distance. 20150313737 | ENDOVASCULAR PROSTHESIS AND METHOD FOR DELIVERY OF AN ENDOVASCULAR PROSTHESIS - The present invention relates to an endovascular prosthesis. The endovascular prosthesis comprises a first expandable portion expandable from a first, unexpanded state to a second, expanded state to urge the first expandable portion against a vascular lumen and a retractable leaf portion attached to the first expandable portion. The retractable leaf portion comprises at least one spine portion and a plurality of rib portions attached to the spine portion. In one preferred embodiment of the present endovascular prosthesis, the retractable leaf portion is configured such that a pair of ribs attached on opposite sides of a longitudinally straightened configuration of the spine portion in a plane of view normal to a central axis of the prosthesis defines a shape, in two dimensions, that is substantially non-circular. In another preferred embodiment of the present endovascular prosthesis, the retractable leaf portion is configured such that a pair of ribs attached on opposite sides of a longitudinally straightened configuration of the spine portion in a plane of view normal to a central axis of the prosthesis defines a shape, in two dimensions, through which one straight line can be translated from one side to the other side of the shape so as to traverse the shape only once at every point along the shape. The rib portions of the present endovascular prosthesis can be designed so as to provide an improved rotational range of proper placement of the prosthesis with respect to the opening of the aneurysm. In a preferred embodiment, the rotational range may be as much as 45° or more. There is also described a method for delivering an endovascular prosthesis to a bifurcated artery which can be accomplished using a single guidewire and a single delivery device. | 11-05-2015 |

20080302183 | APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR GYROSCOPIC PROPULSION - Disclosed is a combination of six substantially identical interconnected rotating masses, with a pair each of the rotating masses being configured to rotate in one of each of the three planes (X, Y, and Z). Regardless of the orientation of the six masses, each pair of the six interconnected rotating masses may share substantially the same center of gravity and generate a separate yet interactive kinetic energy and angular momentum in each of the three planes, thereby providing resistance to rotational forces from external sources. This is known as “equal force presence. In one embodiment, the rotating masses are ring-like masses. In alternative embodiment, the rotating masses are solid masses, similar to flywheels. | 12-11-2008 |

In this manner, the laser provides a quick and accurate straight line for referencing points in the grid. The method could be used to just lay out a grid of lines. An apparatus according to one aspect of the invention comprises a portable base, a laser on the base adapted to project a laser beam in a plane, and a means to identify measured points from the base. The measured points can be relative to the projected plane from the laser. The portable base can be moved to different reference points relative to the area to quickly set up a grid of accurate lines or points in the area. | 03-05-2009 |
