20110223060 | APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR STERILIZATION - The present invention provides an apparatus and method for disinfecting a target area of a patient's body, such as an arm, leg or a chest, in a pre-surgical environment. The apparatus and method disclosed herein further provides for maintaining the target area of the patient's body in an aseptic condition while transporting the patient to and into the surgery room. The most preferred embodiments of the present invention contemplate the use of one or more sterile layers (e.g., sterilized bags or the like) that are used to enclose the target area of the patient's body coupled with a sterile substance delivery mechanism that disinfects the target area and also maintains the target area in an aseptic condition. The most preferred embodiments of the present invention comprise a single-layer disposable garment or an inner bag nested inside an outer bag with a sterilization material being introduced into the inner bag, thereby disinfecting the target area. Once the patient has been transported into the operating room, the healthcare professional can remove the disposable garment or the outer bag, and then expose the target area for the selected procedure. Since the target area has been disinfected and also maintained in an aseptic condition, the healthcare professional can immediately begin to perform a selected procedure on the patient without having to spend additional time in the operating room to disinfect the target area of the patient's body that will undergo the selected procedure. | 09-15-2011 |

20090050521 | COMPOSITION OF A SUPERIOR LUBRICANT OR LUBRICANT BLENDSTOCK - A composition of a superior lubricant or lubricant component having a very high VI, a low cloud point, a difference between the T90 and T10 boiling points of at least 250° F. by SIMDIST, and a very low Bromine Number. | 02-26-2009 |
20090120838 | PRODUCTION OF HIGH QUALITY LUBRICANT BRIGHT STOCK - A process for producing a lubricant bright stock from a very heavy feed obtained from a petroleum crude is disclosed. The bright stock produced by the present process has a reduced cloud point and better oxidation stability relative to bright stocks prepared by conventional methods. The process comprises the steps of providing a petroleum residuum-derived stream; separating the residuum-derived stream at a distillation cut point in the range of 1150° F. to 1300° F., into a heavy fraction and at least one light fraction; hydrocracking the at least one light fraction under conditions to reduce the concentration of sulfur and nitrogen to suitable levels for hydroisomerization dewaxing; and dewaxing at least a portion of the hydrocracked stream under hydroisomerization conditions to produce a lubricant bright stock. | 05-14-2009 |
20090270666 | PROCESS TO MAKE BASE OIL FROM FISCHER-TROPSCH CONDENSATE - A process for making a base oil, comprising: selecting a feed from a Fischer-Tropsch condensate; oligomerizing the feed in an ionic liquid; and alkylating the oligomer in the presence of an isoparaffin, in an ionic liquid alkylation zone, to form a product having: a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 6.9 mm | 10-29-2009 |
20090270667 | PROCESS TO MAKE BASE OIL FROM THERMALLY CRACKED WAXY FEED USING IONIC LIQUID CATALYST - We provide a process for making a base oil, comprising: a) selecting an olefin feed produced by thermal cracking of a waxy feed; b) oligomerizing the olefin feed in an ionic liquid oligomerization zone at a set of oligomerization conditions to form an oligomer; and c) alkylating the oligomer in the presence of an isoparaffin, in an ionic liquid alkylation zone, at a set of alkylation conditions to form an alkylated oligomeric product having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of 6.9 mm | 10-29-2009 |
20090306444 | OLIGOMERIZING AND ALKYLATING WITH AN IONIC LIQUID AT A MOLAR RATIO OF OLEFIN TO ISOPARAFFIN OF AT LEAST 0.8 - We provide a process for making a fuel or lubricant component, comprising: performing alkylation and oligomerization by contacting a stream comprising one or more olefins and one or more isoparaffins, wherein a molar ratio of the one or more olefins to the one or more isoparaffins in the stream is at least 0.8, an acidic chloroaluminate ionic liquid catalyst, and a halohalide; and recovering the fuel or lubricant component having a Bromine Number of less than 4. We provide a process comprising performing concurrent alkylation and oligomerization. We also provide a process for making a lubricant component having a kinematic viscosity at 100° C. of at least 6.9 mm | 12-10-2009 |
20100204531 | PROCESS TO MAKE A LUBRICANT COMPONENT BY OLIGOMERIZING AND ALKYLATING AT A MOLAR RATIO OF OLEFIN TO ISOPARAFFIN OF AT LEAST 0.8 - We provide a process to make a lubricant component, comprising:
