20110263919 | Chemical Reactor Operation - A method of operation of one or more chemical reactors, wherein each reactor defines first flow channels for a chemical reaction process in proximity to second flow channels for heat transfer, and each reactor is provided with fluid connections for bringing about flows of respective fluids through the first and second flow channels, involves the steps of shutting down the flows of fluids through at least one of the first and second flow channels, and then changing the fluid connections, and then reopening the fluid connections. There is no change in the chemical reaction process performed by the reactors. The change to the fluid connections is preferably such as to achieve a flow reversal. This may involve turning the reactor itself around, or changing the arrangement of ducts connected to the reactor. This changes the thermal stress distribution within the reactor, and can consequently increase the reactor's operational lifetime. | 10-27-2011 |

20130041049 | Gas-to-Liquid Technology - A gas-to-liquids process and plant for treating natural gas, in which the natural gas is subjected to expansion through a flow restrictor so as to undergo cooling through the Joule Thomson effect, enables liquids to be separated from the gas stream. The natural gas may be cooled before it reaches the flow restrictor by heat exchange with fluid that has passed through the flow restrictor. This decreases the proportion of longer-chain hydrocarbons in the natural gas, which may simplify subsequent processing, and may enable the size of the plant to be decreased. | 02-14-2013 |
20150119478 | GAS-TO-LIQUID TECHNOLOGY - Gas-to-liquids processes for treating natural gas, including the steps of subjecting the natural gas to expansion through a flow restrictor so as to undergo cooling through the Joule Thomson effect. The processes then separate the resulting liquids from the remaining natural gas and processing the natural gas to form a synthesis gas. The synthesis gas is subjected to Fischer-Tropsch synthesis and the output from the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis is separated into a hydrocarbon product and an aqueous phase and the aqueous phase is steam stripped to extract the oxygenates which are then injected into the natural gas stream upstream of the flow restrictor. | 04-30-2015 |

20150128783 | ADJUSTABLE CAPO DEVICE FOR FRETTED STRINGED INSTRUMENTS - An inventive set of small devices (‘capo elements’) to mechanically secure a string or strings of a guitar or other fretted stringed instrument at selected fret positions in order to selectively vary the string vibrational length and pitch when the string is plucked. This plurality of capo elements comprises a series of individual rectangular shaped blocks having formed on their upper portions a groove running parallel to the strings so shaped as to secure the string using an interference fit, thus preventing vibration at the distal end of the string and changing its pitch when plucked. Said capo elements feature a lip in the underside of the proximal portion of each capo element, so shaped as to overhang the raised fret, to ensure correct positioning of the capo element, and to secure the string at the same length as would otherwise have been achieved by fretting the string in the regular manner. Said capo elements have an adhesive bottom surface to secure them temporarily to the instrument fretboard. Said capo elements are made of a hard plastic so as not to dampen any vibration and deaden the tone, and are so sized as to enable them to be used adjacently on the same fret without impeding the movement of the musician's fretting hand. A plurality of capo elements are provided, one for each of the strings, though the musician has the option to leave desired strings unaltered without fitting capo elements. After use, the elements are removed manually and should not mark the fretboard. | 05-14-2015 |

20100057367 | PROCESSING SEISMIC DATA IN COMMON GROUP-CENTER GATHERS - A method for processing seismic data. The method includes plotting a travel-time curve and one or more actual times that each seismic receiver receives one or more seismograms on a graph. The travel-time curve represents an approximate time that each seismic receiver in a seismic survey area receives the seismograms. The method may further include determining a residual static shift for each seismogram and using the residual static shift to estimate a time shift correction. The residual static shift represents a difference between an actual time in which a seismic receiver received a seismogram and a time on the travel-time curve that corresponds to the actual time. The time shift correction corrects a timing error in the time indicated by the travel-time curve. | 03-04-2010 |
