The first and second valve layers are attached together to form a valve strip that has a plurality of valves and a lengthwise air channel in fluid communication with an entrance of each of the plurality of valves. Outermost, lengthwise edges of the first and second boundary layers are attached to each other and the valve strip is positioned between the first and second boundary layers with at least a portion of the lengthwise air channel not covered by the first and second boundary layers. A plurality of cross seams are formed in the first and second boundary layers and the portion of the valve strip positioned therebetween to define a plurality of inflatable cavities such as dunnage cavities or bubble cells. | 11-27-2014 |
20140373488 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR CHANGING A STRIP OF SEALED BAG PRECURSORS IN TO OPEN BAGS - Methods for changing a strip of sealed bag precursors in to open bags are disclosed. The apparatus used in the method is referred to as a transforming machine and includes a separation station and may include a perforation station and a piercing station. The perforation station forms a plurality of end perforations in the multiple layers of a strip of sealed bag precursors. The separation station separates the plurality of end perforations in at least one film layer of the trip to form a plurality of bag openings. The plurality of end perforation are torn by the separation station, which includes manipulating the rotation of a main roller, a pressure roller and at least one separation roller. | 12-25-2014 |
20150047300 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR OPENING BAGS WHILE MAINTAINING A CONTINUOUS STRIP OF BAG PRECURSORS - Transforming machines for changing a strip of unopened bag precursors into open bag precursors are disclosed that include a drive motor, a separation station, a sensor electrically connected to a controller that is electrically connected to components of the separation station. The separation station includes a first roller, a separation roller driven by the drive motor, and a pressure device having an actuator selectively activating the pressure device to apply pressure to the strip of unopened bag precursors passing over the first roller. In operation, the controller, based on a signal from the sensor, determines when perforations are located in a gap between the pressure device and the separation roller and at that time signals the actuator to activate the pressure device, with the drive motor driving the separation roller, thereby separating the perforations in a first film layer, but not the perforations in a second film layer. | 02-19-2015 |

20150248637 | Apparatus for Temporal Scheduling of a Load to be Transported - An apparatus is provided for improved processing of instructions to provide temporal selection to a client when scheduling a load to be transported for a prospective transportation industry customer. The apparatus includes a processor and a non-transitory machine readable memory. The processor is designed to process instructions to provide date and time selection to a client from a server to enable temporal scheduling of a load to be transported for a prospective transportation industry customer. The non-transitory machine readable memory at a host server has stored therein computer instructions programmed to cause the processor to store and access user information and instructions, and to present, enable, receive, store and associate date ranges, time ranges and waypoints for a load and cargo delivery destination. A method is also provided. | 09-03-2015 |

20150133272 | Light Weight Portable Bicycle Rollers - A bicycle rollers device, having a frame that includes a rear mounting assembly for two rear rollers; a front mounting assembly for a front roller; support elements, for supporting the frame above a surface, upon which the support elements are set to rest; and a central bridge connecting the front mounting assembly to the rear mounting gear. Also, two rear rollers are mounted in the rear mounting assembly and a front roller is mounted in the front mounting assembly and defines a roller width. Finally, the central bridge is more narrow than the roller width, thereby permitting a bicycle rider to mount and dismount a bicycle set on the rollers without encountering the central bridge. | 05-14-2015 |

20110127825 | Traveling undercut solution mining systems and methods - In-situ solution mining method of an ore bed, particularly containing trona, which comprises exposing to a solvent an ore region inside a borehole drilled in the ore, and dissolving a desired solute within the exposed region to provide a liquor and create a voided ‘undercut’, such undercutting making the ore susceptible to gravitational loading and crushing. Unexposed ore falls into the undercut by gravity without breaking the ore roof resulting in exposure of fresh ore to the solvent and in preventing solvent exposure to contaminating material near the roof. The desired solute is eventually dissolved away in the entire bed from its floor up to its roof. Solvent injection may be delivered through a conduit positioned inside the borehole, and may be moved by retracting or perforating the conduit. The method may employ an advancing undercut initiated up-dip and traveling down-dip, or a retreating undercut initiated down-dip and traveling up-dip. | 06-02-2011 |

20090046769 | METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR REDUCING SIGNAL PROCESSING REQUIREMENTS FOR TRANSMITTING PACKET-BASED DATA - A modem and method for operating same. A receiver circuit of the modem is coupled to receive a continuous analog signal from a communication channel. This analog signal includes both packet and idle information. The receiver circuit monitors the analog signal to detect the presence of idle information. Upon detecting idle information, the receiver circuit enters a standby mode in which the processing requirements of the receiver circuit are reduced. A burst mode protocol is also provided, in which packets of digital information are modulated by a transmitter circuit the modem, thereby converting the packets of digital information into analog signal bursts of discrete duration. These analog signal bursts are transmitted from the transmitter circuit to a telephone line. However, the transmitter circuit does not generate any signals between the analog signal bursts. A receiver circuit monitors the telephone line to detect the analog signal bursts. Upon detecting the presence of the analog signal bursts on the telephone line, the receiver circuit demodulates the analog signal bursts using full processing capabilities of the receiver circuit. However, upon detecting the absence of the analog signal bursts on the telephone line, the demodulating function of the receiver circuit is disabled. The burst mode protocol enables multi-drop and multi-cast operation, as well as reducing required DSP resources. | 02-19-2009 |
