20080282859 | AUTOMATIC PATTERN MAKING DEVICE - An automatic paper cutting apparatus includes an X-Y cutter, a cutter controller, and a pattern booklet. The pattern booklet includes a plurality of pattern identifiers and a memory device with cutting instructions for each of the identified patterns. The booklet removably mounts to the cutter controller so that an operator can select a pattern from the pattern booklet and have the memory device provide the corresponding set of cutting instructions to the cutter controller. The cutter controller uses the instructions to control the X-Y cutter and cut the desired pattern. A cutting platform of the X-Y cutter has a tacky adhesive that releaseably secures a work piece to the cutting platform during cutting operations. The cutting platform includes surface features that engage a spur gear. The cutter controller selectively rotates the spur gear to drive the cutting platform in the Y direction. The apparatus may use a journaling, embossing, perforating instrument instead of the cutter to make a pattern on the work piece. | 11-20-2008 |

20090042105 | Sensitizer dyes for photoacid generating systems - Photosensitizing dyes are often used in conjunction with a photoacid generator in holographic recording media. Conventional photosensitizing dyes typically are limited by having an appreciable absorption of light when used in a sufficient concentration, such that the intensity of light decreases significantly with penetration into a recording medium. The present invention discloses a number of new 5-alkynyl substituted napthacene photosensitizing dyes that have low extinction coefficients coupled with good sensitizing properties, such that the problems associated with the photosensitizing dyes absorbing light are significantly reduced. | 02-12-2009 |
20090107552 | Novel Dyes - Novel dyes, as well as related photovoltaic cells, components, systems, and methods, are disclosed. | 04-30-2009 |
20090182172 | Fluoroarylsulfonium photoacid generators - The present invention discloses a new class of triarylsulfonium salt photoacid generators (PAGs), which are thermally stable and can be activated by long wavelength UV or visible light. The sulfonium PAGs of the present invention are additionally soluble in monomers that can be polymerized by cationic polymerization chemistry, and mixtures of said sulfonium PAGs and monomers can be stored for long periods of time without undergoing polymerization. Furthermore, typical holographic recording media comprising one of these sulfonium PAGs, polymerizable monomer(s), a sensitizing dye, and a binder can be stored for long periods of time without exhibiting significant loss of recording sensitivity. Preferred sulfonium PAGs of the present invention are sulfonium PAGs substituted with one or more fluoro or fluoroalkyl groups. | 07-16-2009 |
20090325079 | Data storage medium comprising colloidal metal and preparation process thereof - Disclosed is a photopolymerizable holographic recording medium for data storage that comprises colloidal metal, and which exhibits a threshold for a second stage polymerization which is substantially insensitive to the light used for both forming holograms and interrogating the medium during servo and/or read events. Also disclosed is a method of preparing said photopolymerizable holographic recording medium. Also disclosed is a method for preparing a colloidal without additives in a viscous medium. | 12-31-2009 |
20100280260 | Holographic storage medium comprising polyfunctional epoxy monomers capable of undergoing cationic polymerization - Disclosed is a holographic recording medium. The novel holographic recording mediums disclosed herein comprises: a) at least one polyfunctional epoxide monomer or oligomer which undergoes acid initiated cationic polymerization. Each epoxide in the monomer or oligomer is linked by group comprising a siloxane to a silicon atom and each monomer or oligomer has an epoxy equivalent weight of greater than about 300 grams/mole epoxide; b) a binder which is capable of supporting cationic polymerization; c) an acid generator capable of producing an acid upon exposure to actinic radiation; and optionally d) a sensitizer. | 11-04-2010 |

20100195051 | Testing Vision - A system for testing visual fields comprising a display for presenting a visual stimulus and an eye tracker for tracking movement of at least one of a patient's eyes to determine its position in three dimensions without requiring the patient to wear any tracking equipment. A computer controls the position of the stimulus on the display and causes it to move by an amount that is a function of the tracked three-dimensional position of the patient's eye and a visual field position that is to be tested. Changes to the position of the stimulus and any corresponding tracked eye movement are used to assess the patient's visual field. | 08-05-2010 |

20140041016 | PROVIDING REMOTELY DEFINED SECURITY DATA TO A LOCAL APPLICATION EXTENSION - Systems and methods, including computer software adapted to perform certain operations, can be implemented for providing remotely defined security data to an application extension on a client device. A sequence of instructions and at least one permission indicator associated with the sequence of instructions are received. A first permission indicator is associated with a code extension to a software application adapted to execute at least a portion of the sequence of instructions. The code extension is adapted to perform one or more operations that supplement the operations supported by the software application. An instruction within the sequence of instructions associated with adapted for execution by the code extension and with an activity is identified. The first permission indicator is provided to the code extension. The code extension determines whether performance of the activity is permitted based, at least in part, on the first permission indicator. | 02-06-2014 |
