20090241520 | Diesel Exhaust Soot Sensor System and Method - Systems and methods to determine when regeneration of a diesel particulate filter (DPF) are presented. Such determination is made by indirectly determining soot accumulation in the DPF by monitoring soot accumulation on a regeneration burner spark plug based on the correlation between spark plug fouling and DPF soot loading. An ion current sensing circuit is used during periods of no flame to determine soot loading on the spark plug. When soot loading on the spark plug approaches an amount that could cause fouling of the spark plug, the ignition controller initiates a hot spark to burn the soot off the spark plug. The number of such cleaning events is tracked and used to determine when the DPF soot loading is at a level that regeneration should be initiated. Temperature rise across the DPF is monitored and used to adjust the number spark plug cleaning events needed before initiating regeneration. | 10-01-2009 |
20110000193 | SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR DETECTING DIESEL PARTICULATE FILTER CONDITIONS BASED ON THERMAL RESPONSE THEREOF - Systems and methods to determine conditions of a diesel particulate filter (DPF) based on correlation between predicted and actual thermal data of the fluid exiting a DPF are provided. Soot loading, ash loading, and/or DPF damage may be detected, and DPF operational models may be calibrated in accordance with such systems and methods. Further, initiation of regeneration may also be effected in accordance with such systems and methods. | 01-06-2011 |

20090090608 | ELECTRICAL RECEPTICAL - An electrical receptacle includes a switch having an open state and a closed state; an electrical socket that receives an electrical plug; an electrical interface that directly couples to electrical wires and conductively carries current to the switch; a user interface having an input device that receives user commands, and an output device that sends user signals; and a timer that, upon user command, causes the switch to close. When the switch is in the closed state, current conductively reach the electrical socket. When in the open state, current does not conductively reach the electrical socket. | 04-09-2009 |
20120240624 | Decorative charm - A decorative charm attaches to a shoe, garment, or clothes accessory. A charm includes a base element having a bottom and a top; a hook mechanism having first and second hook elements attached to the bottom; and an attachment element formed of an elastic material. The attachment element can engage the first hook element, stretchably extend around a continuous portion of a shoe, garment, or clothes accessory, and thereafter engage the second hook element, all of which cooperatively secures the charm to the shoe, garment, or clothes accessory by firmly holding the continuous portion between the attachment element and the base element. | 09-27-2012 |
20140338694 | DECORATIVE CHARM - A decorative charm includes a base element having a decorative top and a bottom; first and second rigid hook elements having respective extensions having first ends attached to the bottom of the base element and second extension ends angled inwardly to form hook portions; and a planar attachment element having a tapered portion and being disposed to simultaneously abut each extension to frictionally fix the extensions between the base element and the hook portions. | 11-20-2014 |

20130330118 | Cable-Actuated Latching Mechanism - A cable-actuated latching mechanism is disclosed herein. In one or more embodiments, the cable-actuated latching mechanism includes an insert body having at least one groove formed therein; a bent elongated strip disposed in the at least one groove of the insert body; a detent coupled to the bent elongated strip; and an actuation cable or wire operatively coupled to the bent elongated strip, a portion of the actuation cable or wire being disposed in the insert body. When an axial force is applied to the actuation cable or wire of the latching mechanism, the bent elongated strip is elastically deformed and displaced inwardly, thereby displacing the detent in a similar inward manner. In one or more embodiments, the cable-actuated latching mechanism is configured to selectively prevent the relative sliding movement of an inner tubular member relative to an outer tubular member. | 12-12-2013 |
