20150176890 | Cryogenically Treated Audio/Video Cable and Method Thereof - An audio cable is cryogenically treated in a cryogenic chamber. The cable is disposed within the cryogenic chamber. A temperature in the cryogenic chamber decreases to a level between −157° C. and −184° C. over 12 hours of the cryogenic treatment profile. The temperature in the cryogenic chamber is held steady state at the level for 8-12 hours. The temperature in the cryogenic chamber increases back to an ambient temperature over 8 hours. A computer control system controls the temperature in the cryogenic chamber by regulating nitrogen gas flow into the cryogenic chamber. The temperature in the cryogenic chamber can be decreased in a first stepped profile, and then increased in a second stepped profile. Alternatively, a bare conductor is disposed within the cryogenic chamber. The bare conductor is cryogenically treated and then used in another device, such as cable, magnetic pickup, speaker voice coil, microphone, and instrument string. | 06-25-2015 |

20110145128 | System and Method for Auctioning Environmental Commodities - An institutionally-focused, neutral auction platform is provided that may be utilized for both the primary and secondary trading of environmental commodities and instruments. The auction platform may perform an on-boarding process for auction participants. Thereafter, the auction platform initiates an auction event, in response to a request by an auctioner, based on an identified block of environmental commodities. The auction platform may also receive an indication of financial security from one or more of the auction participants. A winning bidder may then be selected based on auctioner-defined parameters. In certain embodiments, the auction platform may also perform a settlement function for the auctioner and winning bidder relating to the delivery of, and payment for, the identified block of environmental commodities. Various other services and processes may also be provided by the auction platform. | 06-16-2011 |

20090279529 | Synchronization in Mobile Communication System - A solution to overcome synchronization problems related to a scenario where multiple radio access networks utilize a shared frequency band in a radio communication environment is provided. The radio access networks are synchronized to a common synchronization source which may be a synchronization signal broadcasted by another radio system. The synchronization source is selected from a predetermined set of synchronization signals according to the availability of the synchronization signals for transmitters of the radio access networks. | 11-12-2009 |
20100009706 | Method for controlling the weighting of a data signal in the at least two antenna elements of a radio connection unit, radio connection unit, module and communications system - The invention relates to a method for controlling the weighting of a data signal in the at least two antenna elements of a first radio connection unit of a radio communications system, which data signal is to be distributed for parallel transmission to a second radio connection unit to at least two beams. In order to improved such a method, it comprises: determining in the second radio connection unit a weight information enabling the first radio connection unit to determine the sets of weights for suitable beams for transmission and transmitting it to the first radio connection unit; and distributing the data signal in the first radio connection unit to those sets of weights and transmitting the data signals simultaneously via the formed beams. Alternatively or additionally, the second unit determines the number of beams to be used and informs the first unit about it. The invention equally relates to corresponding radio connection units, radio connection unit modules and radio communications systems. | 01-14-2010 |
20120166119 | Apparatus and Method for Reducing Discontinuities Between Waveforms in a Communication System - An apparatus, method and system for reducing discontinuities between waveforms in a communication system. In one embodiment, an apparatus includes a processor and memory including computer program code. The memory and the computer program code are configured, with the processor, to determine an amplitude and set of derivatives at an end point of a first symbol waveform, and determine an amplitude and set of derivatives at a beginning point of a second symbol waveform. The memory and the computer program code are configured, with the processor, to insert a guard period waveform having an amplitude and set of derivatives at a first end to substantially match the amplitude and set of derivatives at the end point of the first symbol waveform and an amplitude and set of derivatives at a second end that substantially matches the amplitude and set of derivatives at the beginning point of the second symbol waveform. | 06-28-2012 |
