20090307866 | Shop Vacuum Cleaner with Cyclonic Separator - A shop vacuum cleaner has a series of dust separation stages, with the large majority of the dust being preseparated in a cyclonic separator and deposited into a first drum or barrel. The remaining dust that is carried in the air stream is filtered out in a pre-filter in a second vacuum cleaner drum. A final filter cartridge is fitted onto the intake of the vacuum head. The vacuum cleaner machine exhausts clean, filtered air into the ambient. | 12-17-2009 |
20110203237 | Cyclonic Dust Collector with Variable Speed Drive and Constant Load Current - A dust collection arrangement employs a variable frequency drive to supply AC to its fan motor. A current sensor measures the current drawn by the motor, and this is compared with a preset value. The variable frequency drive adjusts the frequency of the AC applied to the motor to maintain the motor current at the preset level. This keeps the flow of air in the system optimal as dust producing tools are added or taken off. | 08-25-2011 |
20110203238 | Cyclonic Dust Collector with Clamp-Raised Dust Barrel - A dust collector arrangement has a dust separator supported on a frame, with a lid for the dust collection barrel is mounted onto the frame below it. The lid is supported at a fixed elevation above the surface of the shop floor to create a space or clearance between the rim of the dust collection barrel and the lid. The barrel is supported on casters, and can be rolled into place under the rim, and can be rolled out for emptying. Over-center latches positioned at intervals around the upper part of the barrel side wall, engage corresponding structure on the lid. These pull the barrel upwards against the lid and with the barrel casters lifted off the floor surface. The latch members release to lower the barrel for emptying. | 08-25-2011 |
20120112919 | Dust Level Sensor Arrangement for Dust Collection System - A level detector or sensor for a dust collection system has a threaded housing that seats in a penetration in the lid of a dust collection drum or other container, and can be adjusted mechanically in its mounting. The sensor has an adjustment to control the distance at which it picks up light off the collected material. An elongated flexible cable connects the sensor with an alarm strobe, which may be a low-power LED device, and can be positioned at a convenient location remote from the drum. | 05-10-2012 |
20140208704 | Modular Stacking Filter System - A stacking modular filter arrangement may be employed as a final filter for the dust collector for woodshop or other environment in which dust in an air stream is separated out and the exhausted air is filtered in the final filter to return to the ambient. The filter arrangement employs at least first and second filter modules of similar section, and a number of clamp members to hold facing end plates of the filter modules and pull the end plates against one another with one or more gasket members compressed between them. This arrangement permits the available filter area of the final filter to be customized to the customer's needs. | 07-31-2014 |

The surface topography of at least a portion of the top surface of the provide transparent planar substrate is measured to obtain a three dimensional top surface profile having a sub-nanometer level of precision. From the three dimensional surface profile measurement, the existence of one or more surface variations in the three dimensional surface profile having an amplitude greater than a predetermined tolerance can be identified and/or quantified. | 08-28-2008 |
20100287991 | PREVENTING GAS FROM OCCUPYING A SPRAY NOZZLE USED IN A PROCESS OF SCORING A HOT GLASS SHEET - A spray nozzle is used in a process of quenching a hot glass sheet during a laser scoring process or other high energy glass heating process. The scoring is conducted by a high energy means such as a laser. The nozzle is located in proximity to the glass sheet, creating gas in liquid used to quench the glass located in the nozzle (e.g., water). The gas (e.g., air bubbles) is removed from the quenching liquid. Then, the spray nozzle is used to spray the quenching liquid onto the sheet at a location trailing laser scoring of the sheet, such as using a traveling anvil machine at the bottom of the draw. The spray nozzle (purge nozzle) has a purge opening and tubing leading to a discharge location. The purge nozzle can have a sloped passageway that pre-stages gas bubbles near the purge opening in the nozzle. The spray nozzle can include a cooling coil passing around the nozzle passageway that enables a coolant to travel along the coil. This cools the quenching liquid passing through the nozzle, and increases the solubility of bubbles in the quenching liquid in the nozzle. A gas filter can receive gas-rich quenching liquid from the pressurized quenching liquid source, remove gas from the liquid, and send gas-depleted quenching liquid to the spray nozzle. | 11-18-2010 |
