20090012411 | Method and apparatus for obtaining electronic oscillotory pressure signals from an inflatable blood pressure cuff - A method and apparatus are disclosed for the non-invasive measurement, processing and utility of blood pressure cuff oscillation signals from a blood pressure cuff applied to a body part when the blood pressure cuff pressure is at supra-systolic pressures. Oscillometric cardiac pulse waveforms associated with the peripheral artery are monitored during a plurality of cardiac ejection cycles while at supra-systolic pressure, and are measured pneumatically and transduced by an oscillometric pressure sensor. The analog signal is amplified, processed and digitized to provide a recordable waveform that can be analyzed to obtain information relating to the patient's cardiovascular status. | 01-08-2009 |
20090287097 | Method for estimating a central pressure waveform obtained with a blood pressure cuff - A physics-based mathematical model is used to estimate central pressure waveforms from measurements of a brachial pressure waveform measured using a supra-systolic cuff. The method has been tested in numerous subjects undergoing cardiac catheterisation. Central pressure agreement was within 11 mm Hg and as good as the published non-invasive blood pressure agreement between the oscillometric device in use and the so-called “gold standard.” It also exceeds international standards for the performance of non-invasive blood pressure measurement devices. The method has a number of advantages including simplicity of application, fast calculation and accuracy of prediction. Additionally, model parameters have physical meaning and can therefore be tuned to individual subjects. Accurate estimation of central waveforms also allow continuous measurement (with intermittent calibration) using other non-invasive sensing systems including photoplethysmography. | 11-19-2009 |
20090312653 | Method and apparatus for determining cardiac medical parameters from supra-systolicsignals obtained from an oscillometric blood pressure system - A method and apparatus are disclosed for determining certain cardiac medical parameters that are useful is diagnosing and treating cardiovascular disease. The apparatus is designed to carry out the method, which includes the steps of:

20080289070 | Kiwifruit variety named 'HORT22D' - A new and distinct kiwifruit variety is disclosed. The variety results from selection among a population of seedlings derived from crossing the kiwifruit selections known as CK51_06 (not patented) and CK51_11 (not patented). The fruit of the plant of this new kiwifruit variety is characterized by its internal red color and early harvest maturity. The new kiwifruit variety has been named ‘Hort22D’. | 11-20-2008 |
20100011474 | Kiwifruit variety named 'Bruce' - A new and distinct kiwifruit variety is described. The variety results from selection among a population of seedlings derived from a controlled pollination crossing the kiwifruit varieties known as ‘Hort16A’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 11,066) and an unreleased selection CK39_16 (not patented). The new variety is a male plant which flowers in a period well-synchronized for pollination of the female variety ‘Hort16A’ (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 11,066). The new variety is characterized by the timing of flowering, distinctive red/brown hairs evident on young shoots and the underside of young leaves. The new variety appears suitable for use as a pollinizer in commercial kiwifruit production and has been named ‘Bruce’. | 01-14-2010 |
20100333242 | Kiwifruit variety named 'ZESY003' - A new and distinct kiwifruit variety is disclosed. The variety results from selection among a population of seedlings derived from crossing the kiwifruit selections known as Kuimi 79-1-1 (not patented) and 30-03-05c.94 (not patented). The fruit of this new kiwifruit variety is characterized by moderate to large fruit size, high natural yield potential, ovoid shape, yellow flesh color, and potential for long storage. The new kiwifruit variety has been named ‘ZESY003’. | 12-30-2010 |
20100333243 | Kiwifruit variety named 'ZESY002' - A new and distinct kiwifruit variety is disclosed. The variety results from selection among a population of seedlings derived from crossing the kiwifruit selections known as 13-12-16d.96 (not patented) and 30-01-10c.94 (not patented). The fruit of this new kiwifruit variety is characterized by large fruit size, high yield potential, ovoid shape, yellow flesh color, and early harvest maturity.
