20110307809 | RENDERING WEB CONTENT WITH A BRUSH - A content display system is described herein that combines the positive attributes of brushes and web content by allowing web content to be applied as a brush. The content display system renders web content and creates a bitmap of the rendered web content. The bitmap of the web content as rendered by a web host is captured and used as the pixels for a web brush. The brush can be used wherever other types of brushes can be used. In some embodiments, the brush content is refreshed under control of the application. Web content provided through a brush is much more versatile than simply compositing rendered HTML with other visuals. Thus, the content display system allows applications to display web content inside an application sandbox or other platform using the familiar form to application developers of a brush. | 12-15-2011 |

20130159977 | OPEN KERNEL TRACE AGGREGATION - A kernel trace system is described that acts as a kernel driver to insert traces into an open system kernel using existing kernel probe application-programming interfaces (APIs) and copies these events to an existing logging module for transfer to user space. The new module aggregates kernel traces to a performance logging module. A performance logging module can be extended with the kernel trace system herein to include new events in an open kernel not originally included in the implementation of the performance logging module. In this way, the kernel trace system can cause events to be logged that were not logged in the kernel as provided by the operating system vendor, and can do so without requiring that a new version of the operating system be built. The probes can be inserted dynamically at run time on an existing kernel to extract additional trace information. | 06-20-2013 |

20100077178 | Method and apparatus for extending processing time in one pipeline stage - A single channel or multi-channel system that requires the execution time of a pipeline stage to be extended to a time longer than the time interval between two consecutive input data. Each processor in the system has an input and output port connected to a “bypass switch” (or multiplexer). Input date is sent either to a processor, for processing, or to a processor output port, in which case no processing is performed, through a register using at least one clock cycle to move date from register input to register output. For a single channel requiring an execution time twice the time interval between two consecutive input data, two processors are interconnected by the bypass switch. Data flows from the first processor at the input of the system, through the bypass switches of the interconnected processors, to the output. The bypass switches are configures with respect to the processors such that the system data rate is independent of processor number. | 03-25-2010 |

20080270738 | Virtual address hashing - Embodiments include methods, apparatus, and systems for virtual address hashing. One embodiment evenly distributes page-table entries throughout a hash table so applications do not generate a same hash index for mapping virtual addresses to physical addresses. | 10-30-2008 |

20150252412 | HIGH-DEFINITION DNA IN SITU HYBRIDIZATION (HD-FISH) COMPOSITIONS AND METHODS - The invention provides methods and compositions relating to high definition fluorescence DNA in situ hybridization (HD-FISH). The probes generated using the methods of the invention demonstrate higher resolution and efficacy than conventional DNA FISH probes. | 09-10-2015 |
