20080262758 | VERIFYING AN ACCURACY OF A STATE ESTIMATION - The present disclosure is concerned with the reduction of an operational security margin of a power system without jeopardizing the safety of the power system or incurring heavy investments. According to the disclosure, a check for basic accuracy or correctness of a conventional State Estimation (SE) procedure allows to increase a level of confidence in the results of the procedure. To this end, an accuracy of the estimated states is verified by comparing the latter with the results (y, y′) of independent phasor measurements performed at selected locations of the power system. Unless a discrepancy is reported by this comparison, the results of the SE can be assumed to be sufficiently accurate, and any conservative or additional security margin intended to compensate for SE uncertainty can be relaxed. Hence, established trustworthiness in the estimated states allows increasing the transmitted power where the estimated states do indicate such a possibility, i.e. in particular in fringe areas and/or transmission corridors between countries, and especially under stressed network conditions. | 10-23-2008 |

20110113155 | METHODS AND SYSTEMS FOR DYNAMICALLY ADAPTIVE ROAD NETWORK HIERARCHY AND ROUTING - A system and method for computing routing on a road network are described. One embodiment includes pre-processing routing data for one or more environmental profiles integrated into a hierarchy, dynamically adding links to the hierarchy in response to real-time data on traffic conditions, and cluster-routing to approximate routing travel costs based on realtime traffic data A further embodiment includes a) identifying one or more portions of a road network as being more preferable than normal based on real-time data, b) expressing the one or more portions of the road network as a sequence of locations comprising a uniquely identifiable path, c) using the sequence of locations comprising a uniquely identifiable path to add one or more links to an already constructed hierarchical network of roads, and d) enabling a pathfinding algorithm to adjust to the real-time data. | 05-12-2011 |

20130020350 | METHOD OF DISPENSING PESTICIDAL BAIT AND ELECTRICALLY POWERED DISPENSING DEVICE - A method of dispensing a pesticidal bait with an electrically powered dispensing device is provided. A fluid dispensing device and system provides the user the ability to deposit controlled and precise amounts of a substance in specific target areas with capacity to record and transfer the information for diverse user defined purposes. The substance dispensed by the device can easily be deposited into desired locations. Viewing of the dispensed material and its location is enhanced with the aid of a light source if there is not sufficient light available to see adequately. | 01-24-2013 |

20140140578 | PARKING ENFORCEMENT SYSTEM AND METHOD OF PARKING ENFORCEMENT - A parking enforcement system comprises a camera for capturing a license plate image and software for analyzing the license plate image to generate a read license plate number. The read license plate number is cross-referenced with a list of known license plate numbers to determine if the read license plate number is associated with a payment event. A citation against the read licence plate number if the read license plate is not associated with a payment event. | 05-22-2014 |

20150150246 | USE OF INSECT GROWTH REGULATORS IN COCKROACH CONTROL - A method of reducing a population of cockroaches in which a cockroach bait is provided. The cockroach bait contains a bait matrix, an insect growth regulator, and a non-insect growth regulator insecticide. The method includes placing the cockroach bait in a location where cockroaches are periodically present, to thereby reduce the population of cockroaches in the vicinity of the location. Cockroach baits containing a bait matrix, an insect growth regulator, and a non-insect growth regulator insecticide are provided. Methods and cockroach baits containing one or more insect growth regulators in which the one or more insect growth regulators are the only active ingredients are also provided. | 06-04-2015 |
