20140085436 | Systems and Methods for Convergent Angular Slice True-3D Display - Systems and methods for convergent 3D displays. In one embodiment, the 3D display has a display screen that includes a convergent reflector and a horizontally narrow angle diffuser. The convergent reflector focuses 2D images projected on the diffuser from an array of 2D image projectors to form viewpoints in an eyebox where one viewpoint corresponds to one projector. At a particular viewpoint, the viewer's eye sees a full-screen field of view from a corresponding projector in the array. The narrow angle diffuser diffuses incident rays projected from the 2D image projectors into narrow angular slices so that the views in the eyebox are continuously blended together. The system and methods provide advantages in that only a few projectors are required in the array to provide the viewer with a full-screen field of view and a sufficiently large eyebox for comfortable viewing. | 03-27-2014 |

20080308133 | Method and apparatus for wet conveyor car wash and detail - A hand wash cash wash system for motor vehicles based on a fully-wet belt conveyor through a plurality of stations including a manual hand-wash station. The conveyor is adapted for continuous operation in a wet environment and indeed relies on the water from the wash stations for lubrication. The adaptations for wet-belt design include a concrete foundation formed with a recessed drainage pit for runoff. A superstructure is seated atop the foundation and this comprises a framework of galvanized steel legs and struts. The continuous conveyor is mounted on the superstructure further comprises a conveyor belt formed of Acetyl™ links and rollers rotatably mounted in the superstructure. Vehicles approach the car wash, wait in a queue, advance to an entry point, drive onto the conveyor and then leave the car in neutral with foot on the brakes. The conveyor belt moves vehicles through the car wash in assembly line format through a plurality of stations, including a pre-wetting station, a hand-washing station, a rinse station, and a drying station. All the water from the various stations lubricates the links and rollers of the conveyor to create a low-friction continuous wet belt conveyer for low-maintenance and longevity. The wash conveyor extends parallely to an adjacent detail conveyor, and the two conveyors move in opposing directions. Upon completion of the wash, the vehicle moves off the wash conveyor and loops back onto the detail conveyor for interior detailing. A semi-automated system arranged in the foregoing format with dual wash conveyors and dual detail conveyors is capable of 1000+ vehicles per day throughput, and since the entire conveyor path uses a low-friction continuous wet belt conveyer, with specific interlinked belt configuration, infrastructure and materials, there is low-maintenance and longevity despite heavy volume. | 12-18-2008 |

20100160197 | Highly basic calcium carboxylate compositions and method of preparation - Environmentally friendly, shelf-stable overbased calcium carboxylate compositions and their method of preparation are described. The subject compositions possess anti-oxidation and anti-wear properties superior to those associated with existing sulfonate compositions. The subject compositions are prepared by neutralizing a mixture of two different molecular weight aliphatic carboxylic acids or anhydrides in the presence of an aromatic or aliphatic hydrocarbon solvent; adding a mixture of calcium oxide and calcium hydroxide; adding methyl alcohol to promote the reaction; carbonating the mixture with carbon dioxide at temperatures between 80° F. and 120° F.; heating to 200°-250° F. and finishing carbonation; adding diluent oil to the crude product; clarifying the product in solvent; and removing the solvent. | 06-24-2010 |

20110163117 | REFRIGERANT WITH LUBRICATING OIL FOR REPLACEMENT OF R22 REFRIGERANT - An apparatus and method wherein potential ozone layer-damaging chlorodifluoromethane (Refrigerant R-22) is substituted with a mix of less environmentally damaging refrigerants pentafluoroethane and tetrafluoroethane in chlorodifluoromethane-based air-cooling systems mainly in residential cooling. While less environmentally damaging than chlorodifluoromethane, the substitute refrigerant has a temperature-pressure relationship similar to that of chlorodifluoromethane, making the substitute refrigerant suitable for use with chlorodifluoromethane-based air-cooling systems. In this event, it is mixed with a relatively small percentage of a lubricating oil which is compatible with both the unit refrigerant and typical R-22 system design. | 07-07-2011 |

20090125589 | RECONNECTION TO AND MIGRATION OF ELECTRONIC COLLABORATION SESSIONS - The invention generally relates to electronic collaboration sessions and, more particularly, to systems and methods for providing reconnection to and migration of electronic collaboration sessions. A method for managing a collaboration session includes providing a computer infrastructure structured and arranged to store data regarding a plurality of clients of a collaboration session, and monitor a connection of each of the plurality of clients to a host system. The computer infrastructure is further operable to (i) migrate the plurality of clients to a new host system after determining that a number of the plurality of clients experiencing connection problems with the first host system exceeds a threshold value and/or (ii) present customized summary data to at least one of the plurality of clients after the at least one of the plurality of clients reconnects to the collaboration session after having been disconnected from the collaboration session. | 05-14-2009 |

20160138715 | System and Apparatus for Aerodynamically Sealing Surfaces - A system includes a first surface, a second surface, and a sealing system operable to provide an aerodynamic seal between the first surface and the second surface. The second surface may be a surface to be sealed. The sealing system includes a first member and a base. The first member includes a first portion and a bulb coupled to the first portion. The first portion has one or more projections and is adapted to couple the first member to the first surface. The base includes a plurality of feet, a plurality of arms, and an arched portion. The plurality of feet are adapted to be positioned against the second surface. The plurality of arms are adapted to accept the bulb. The arched portion forms a preloaded seal adapted to seal against the second surface when air pressure is exerted against a side of the base. | 05-19-2016 |
