20140218011 | DYNAMIC POWER PROFILING - Aspects of dynamic power profiling are described herein. In various embodiments, a current sense operating mode is set for a current sense circuit, and the current sense circuit is enabled for operation. The current sense circuit senses an amount of current supplied by at least one of a plurality of power rails based on the current sense operating mode. The current sense circuit also accumulates and stores a value of the amount of current over a period of time. In certain aspects, a system controller averages the value of the amount of current based on the period of time. The current sense circuit may be configured to operate in various modes of operation including single or scan rail modes of operation, and the average of the value of the amount of current may be evaluated based on the modes of operation of the current sense circuit and/or the system. | 08-07-2014 |

20090143234 | QUALITY CONTROL METHODS FOR ARRAYED OLIGONUCLEOTIDES - We disclose quality controls methods that allow quick and accurate verification of a test oligonucleotide deposited on a solid support. It is especially useful for the verification of oligonucleotides representing alleles of a multi-allelic locus. It employs single base extension, with labeled dideoxynucleotides, to locate and verify the identity of test oligonucleotides. This approach involves synthesizing a complement probe oligonucleotide for each oligonucleotide being tested. Probe oligonucleotides are optionally grouped. They are then hybridized to test oligonucleotides, and the hybridized pair is subject to single base extension and detection. It requires the presence of one unique base, either in the last two bases at the free hanging end of the test oligonucleotide—as opposed to the end anchored to the solid support surface, or in the last two bases at one end of the probe oligonucleotide. | 06-04-2009 |

20140212015 | De-noising of Real-time Dynamic Magnetic Resonance Images by the Combined Application of Karhunen-Loeve Transform (KLT) and Wavelet Filtering - A hybrid filtering method called Karhunen Loeve Transform-Wavelet (KW) filtering is presented to de-noise dynamic cardiac magnetic resonance images that simultaneously takes advantage of the intrinsic spatial and temporal redundancies of real-time cardiac cine. This filtering technique combines a temporal Karhunen-Loeve transform (KLT) and spatial adaptive wavelet filtering. KW filtering has four steps. The first is applying the KLT along the temporal direction, generating a series of “eigenimages”. The second is applying Marcenko-Pastur (MP) law to identify and discard the noise-only eigenimages. The third applying a 2-D spatial wavelet filter with adaptive threshold to each eigenimage to define the wavelet filter strength for each of the eigenimages based on the noise variance and standard deviation of the signal. Lastly, the inverse KLT is applied to the filtered eigenimages to generate a new series of cine images with reduced image noise. | 07-31-2014 |
