20150080117 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS OF LINKING GAMING STATIONS ADMINISTERING DIFFERENT WAGERING GAMES TO THE SAME PROGRESSIVE JACKPOT - Systems and methods of operating a major progressive jackpot linked to wagering games having different jackpot triggers with different probabilities. The major jackpot winning probabilities may be normalized such that players may have the substantially the same odds to win the major progressive jackpot regardless on the wagering game being played. During game play, the gaming stations may be randomly selected to participate for a chance to win the major progressive jackpot according to an eligibility probability, which may be inversely proportional to the probability of a jackpot trigger for the wagering game administered by the gaming station. Players may be informed of whether the current round of game play is eligible for the major progressive jackpot after wagers are placed and before the current round of game play. | 03-19-2015 |

20090185484 | RAPID RESPONSE METHOD FOR THE FAILURE OF LINKS BETWEEN DIFFERENT ROUTING DOMAINS - The invention relates to a rapid response method for the failure of a link between two routing domains in a packet-oriented network. Once the failure of a link has been identified, substitute routes are provided for the interrupted routes by the local selection of alternative routes and by the propagation of messages along the substitute routes. In contrast to conventional inter-domain protocols such as the BGP (Iborder gateway protocol) the transmission of messages and the associated modification to the routing only involves routing domains that lie along the replacement routes. In one embodiment, a network-wide propagation of messages takes place if the failure of the link represents a persistent breakdown. As a consequence, optimal routes are re-determined in the entire network. The invention provides breakdown compensation that is appropriate for temporary breakdowns and prevents instabilities that occur as a result of the use of conventional inter-domain protocols. | 07-23-2009 |

20090301337 | NANO-ENHANCED KINETIC ENERGY PARTICLES - The current invention relates to the fields of ballistic and kinetic energy (KE) weapons. Specifically a novel apparatus and use of nanomaterials has been developed to make significant improvements over existing weapons. By incorporating nano-scale particles as a filler material for kinetic energy weapons several advancements are realized. | 12-10-2009 |
20120046898 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRESSURE MEASUREMENT USING OPTICAL SENSORS - Embodiments of systems and methods for pressure measurement using optical sensors are disclosed that include a computer processor that executes logic instructions to receive data based on optical signals from an optical sensor. The data represents velocity of the object after being exposed to a first pressure force. The velocity is determined from an unshifted, reference optical signal and a Doppler-shifted optical signal reflected off the object. The pressure force applied to the object is determined based on the velocity of the object. | 02-23-2012 |
20120192704 | SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR NEUTRALIZING EXPLOSIVE DEVICES - An apparatus for neutralizing an explosive comprises a housing including at least one relief groove along an outer portion of the housing, and an inner chamber. The inner chamber includes a first hollow section and a second hollow section. The cross-sectional area of the second hollow section is smaller than the cross-sectional area of the first hollow section. A forward section of the housing is adapted to receive a first nose member and a rear section of the housing is adapted to receive a removable fin set. | 08-02-2012 |
